A Note to Banned Paul:
Regarding the censure vote - it was not called to a vote so of course they did not vote for it. It was recommended for investigation.
Regarding the UAE - I heard a speech just today by Rumsfeld back in 2002 saying that one of the reasons we needed to go after Iraq was because the UAE had been negotiating with Saddam.

It doesn't appear George's wings are taking dream at all.
Is Paul banned? Why? Is it a crime to have one's pate up their patoot? Hell, you can even be president, when so afflicted; this much has been proven beyond a doubt.
Besides, he's a constant reminder as to how such an incompetent could rise to power, to begin with.

Sen Harkin and Sen Boxer are now voicing support for Sen Feingold's resolution of censure.
Here is a list of Dems who became indignant with Clinton's behavior with Monica and sought censure. Why aren't they indignant about the deceit, lies, and malfeasance of President Bush? Why aren't each of them confronted with this contradiction in front of tv cameras and reporters?
Daniel Akaka
Max Baucus
Byron Dorgan
Dick Durbin
Dianne Feinstein
Daniel Inouye
Jim Jeffords
Ted Kennedy
John Kerry*
Herb Kohl
Mary Landrieu
Carl Levin
Joe Lieberman
Blanche Lincoln
Barbara Mikulski
Patty Murray
Jack Reed
Harry Reid
Jay Rockefeller
Chuck Schumer
Ron Wyden
The four GOPers who backed censure for Clinton are:
Pete Domenici
Mitch Mcconnell
Gordon Smith
Olympia Snowe
Why are the Dems wimping out over this?

Because they are AFRAID of a political backlash. Wimps! If they went after him strong, hard and in unison the public would cheer and it would be front page news, but nooooo. The dems have to try and play it safe and it just makes them look, I don't know, sheepish? Weak? Pathetic? When will there be a politician with a real vision?

I'm going to float a somewhat different take on the situation here and opine that the single most dangerous misconception progressives are laboring under is the notion of this administration's "incompetence," as delightful as it is to snicker, howl and jeer over. These guys are very competently - and deliberately - sowing chaos worldwide in furtherance of a total dominance agenda that we as liberal Americans have difficulty comprehending, let alone facing.
The New World Order isn't just about globalization and universal corporatocracy, but about the creation of an aristocracy/peonage system very reminiscent of the Middle Ages - and it's been a long time in the planning (try since the First Word War).
I'm not going to go into details, since I'm pretty ill at the moment, but I just wanted to throw this out as a warning - that it's very likely Roverer is chuckling every time that "c" word is mentioned, because it means that we just don't get it and will be taken totally by surprise when the troops begin to fill up those "detention facilities" scattered throughout the country. By the way, did you know that the "private security firm" DynCorp is going to take over the policing of St. Bernard parish in Louisiana? Still convinced that the mishandling of Katrina was blundering incompetence? DynCorp has an abolutely obscene record, as Kurt Nimmo details.

Firm Failed to Protect U.S. Troops' Water
By LARRY MARGASAK, Associated Press Writer
1 hour ago
WASHINGTON - Halliburton Co. failed to protect the water supply it is paid to purify for U.S. soldiers throughout Iraq, in one instance missing contamination that could have caused "mass sickness or death," an internal company report concluded.
The report, obtained by The Associated Press, said the company failed to assemble and use its own water purification equipment, allowing contaminated water directly from the Euphrates River to be used for washing and laundry at Camp Ar Ramadi in Ramadi, Iraq.
The problems discovered last year at that site _ poor training, miscommunication and lax record keeping _ occurred at Halliburton's other operations throughout Iraq, the report said.

I think big chunks of it have been directed to republican coffers for the upcoming election.
Bush can not think ahead, so I doubt he is scared as hell as he should be if the republicans loose the House and Senate.
His ass is grass if that happens.
So untold billions have likely been laundered by the fraudy republican election machine.
The people are going to have to pay close attention this November.

I can remember trying to explain to my young sons about the Gulf War and when the USA went into Afghanistan it was unclear what the mission was about. Horrific treatment of others(Taliban)?...that exist in many places in this world! And then the USA mentioned the first words of Iraq so I took out the globe and this was over three years ago. I pointed out Afghanistan to the boys and then I pointed out Iraq.....and the it dawned on me.....Iran was smack dab in the middle...ah ha! I knew then they had their sights set on IRAN. Then I explained to these young lads that this country, Iran, has been the nemesis of the USA forever. So ultimitely it was never about Afghanistan nor Iraq. This whole costly war has always been about Iran! And now we are hearing the version of the USA trying to bring the curtain down on Iran. "They are building nuclear weapons". I had a friend that worked within 30 miles of this facility (2 years ago under an Italian firm) and he says that wanting nuclear energy is a pile of shit. They are trying to make nuclear weapons because as far as energy, they burn off everyday in flares would more than suffice any energy requirements ever needed. Why doesn't the American Government be honest with the people? There is no one in America that can be as stupid as George W Bush yet he seems to be the one they trust and vote in and they know he is lying to them and they lay down and take it. The democrats stuck their fingers up there ass, as a motion in the government went unheeded by democrats, to censure the President! What not impeachment? No they could not even bring themselves to vote for censure...I saw as Ted Kennedy refused to acknowledge the camera, and also Kerry and many other democrats. If they do not stand against this...what the hell are they there to do?
Waste taxpayers money, large ballroom gala's, feel good sessions? I am curious what in the hell are the Republicans on? And are they slipping it in to the democrats H2O?? With a government as corrupt as the American government when do the people stand up and be counted....in a few years they will be shot by their own elected government for treason or protesting. Maybe the Americans will beat the Iraqi's to the punch and have a civil war first. That will clean out all the good people and leave the politicians hiding in their holes waiting for the rise of the left once again.

Guess the rating has to go to -50 before the dems stand up for the people they supposedly represent. I agree, J. This has always been about Iran. China gets much of it's oil from them so to curb their power neo-con men think its a good idea to attack part of their flow. Now China is going into South America where anti-Americanism is increasing. How this will end is anybody's guess but if something isn't done soon, we're all in a lot of trouble.
