The indictment is the seventh this month from a Travis County grand jury investigating the use of corporate money in the campaigns that gave Republicans control of the Texas House.
Jim Ellis, who heads Americans for a Republican Majority, and John Colyandro, former executive director of Texans for a Republican Majority, already are facing charges of money laundering in the case. Colyandro also faces 13 counts of unlawful acceptance of a corporate political contribution. The use of corporate money to influence political races is illegal in Texas.

Americans for a Republican Majority, also known as ARMPAC, is DeLay’s national fundraising committee. The Republican from Sugar Land helped create Texans for a Republican Majority.

Problem is, they can’t indict DeLay,the asshole who was behind it all, because of some bullshit jurisdictional crap.
Trouble is the Repubs don’t have to give back the seats they stole.
All we can do is get rid of them and try to get back to good government. It’ll be impossible to right all their wrongs.
Anybody who says Dems are the same as Repubs just doesn’t know any better.
So, Delay is only saved (for now) by jurisdictional problems. Rove will hear soon about his fate. Isn’t it in the Spring when Kenny Boy Lay goes to trial. And, Bush has low public opinion poll numbers. Yep, things are looking up.

Just found this while looking for some new info about Fitzgerald’s activities. How sympathetic should we be? Not very, was my first reaction, but then again the politics cuts both ways, as you will see when you read the entire WaPo article. But why is WaPo publishing this now? Ralston’s testimony was end of July, WaPo article linked is from 9/12/05.

The latest White House staffer to face the grand jury is Susan B. Ralston, assistant to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, who gave testimony to the committee investigating the leak of the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame.
Ralston appeared at the end of July on the same day as former Rove aide Israel "Izzy" Hernandez, according to ABC News. The reason Ralston, 37, was asked to testify remains unclear, but it has heightened suspicions that the locus of the investigation still centers on Rove.
