How the f**k can anybody be undecided? I mean, I could see be undecided about Eisenhower... I could see be undecided about Clinton... But about Bush? How much of a weak-willed wimp do you need to be to have no opinion in the present circumstances???

Note that this is a 6% drop over one month... biggest of the past year. Hope this is the beginning of a trend.

Ben - My hope is that these "undecideds" are the people who currently support Bush who are just about to suck it up and go with their gut that says "THIS SILVER SPOON CHILD WITH THE FAKE TEXAS ACCENT HAS BEEN LYIN' HIS ASS OFF TO YOU AND ITS ABOUT TIME YOU WOKE UP!!!" Its hard to face your freinds I guess, and it feels so self-rightous to listen to your talking points spouted at you every day by the right wing radio robots. As I posted elsewhere, the sign I made for my car says "ARE YOU STILL BELIEVING BUSH?" As a gentle reminder that they are welcome to come on over to the side of reason any ol' time.

Finally! I've been waiting for a poll with a "3" in the ten's place for a long time. And this one didn't just tip toe into the 30's. No way. This fucker just charged right smack dab in the middle of the 30's. Even if the +/- 3% margin gives Bush the benefit of the doubt, he's at 39% max! Perhaps at 33%, if it went the other way. America is starting to wake from it's slumber.

I wonder what it is in particular which is swaying the public. It can't be the facts --- those have been around since before the election. What could finally be reaching those somnambulists after all this time?

Is this enough? Need we wait to have another Kent State where American children are gunned down by other Americans in uniforms? Or can we finally see what this government has become?
Take a good look at this video. This is the image of the USA the rest of the world sees. This is the Neocon dream for America.

Polls are people asking people questions, with no machines involved. That's why I trust polls, and that's why I believe the exit polls that said Kerry won the election by 3%. The machines said Bush won the election by 2.5%. A 51%-48% Bush victory. Does that margin ring any bells?

Excuse me Jerry #12 - ITs 36% not 39% -
Nixon had 39% during 1973 the Watergate issue -
Maybe we will get lucky and some scared Republican Congresspeople will urge Bush to leave for "health issues". But he needs to take Cheney and Rumsfeldt, Rove and Wolfawitz with him.

I read on another site it is the custom in some societies to give a person in power a pistol and tell them to do the honorable thing when their aproval rating is this bad.
I don't have a pistol to give duhbya but it is time for him to do the honorable thing.

For Ben: I think "undecided" often means, "I don't like polls. I'd like to say 'no comment,' but you need an answer that fits into your computer model, so my answer is 'undecided.'"
That's one reason exit polls have long been considered reliable. There's no "undecided" factor. If a voter agrees to participate, it's either "I voted
for Candidate A" or "I voted for Candidate B."
You can't be undecided about a vote you just cast. Sounds pretty obvious, but anyone who hates polls would just walk past the exit pollster and say, "No thanks." By removing the undecided/fudge factor from the equation, any notion of a 5-1/2% discrepancy between exit polls and tabulated vote is all the more preposterous.
I'm sure Cindy Sheehan is the reason for the 6% drop in Bush's rating. That, plus the fact that Congress is out of session, and all his Capitol Hill sycophants (Frist, Delay, Santorum, et al.) are eating barbecued chicken somewhere.

#8 I so agree, do they have to much pride to admit their wrongness or do they still allow their pride to blind their thinking process? Stupid is as stupid does as Forest Gump's mother said. I thank God I never believed what bush said, his history foretold of the misfortune he would encumber us all with.
#10...maybe the ones changing their ways are feeling threatened with the fact that if allowed to continue they'll loose their children to the murdering ass and then have to live miserably in a country with no rights and/or benefits for the new massive numbers of poor he is creating. Truth doesn’t work for the selfish until it affects them!
#14...yes if we held an election today "W"rong would probably get 51% not because he's a winner (never was to date) but because the GOP cheats blatantly and all the republican suckers refuse to fight for their given right to truth. Of course we all know the GOP refuses to fix a fixable system, because they can't win without fraud!
#21 Don't forget Conda-liar Rice, Ash-hole-croft, Gon-toture-zales, plus a few others hidden out of the limelight!

The real problem for the neocons is their front man is polling at 36 %. This means their PNAC agenda can not be implemented on schedule. The Bushtapo was installed by the Diebold system to push forward their agenda, but now the American cannon fodder are waking up to the con. Pretty hard to sell the Syrian and Iranian invasion with only 36% brainwashed. Even with non-English speaking immigrants suiting up for the war machine, it is a dangerous move to continue the invasions under such odds. The ruling elite that installed them to implement their agenda (using their fraudulent election system) will soon grow impatient with the Bush team. This is what makes them so desparate with a measly 36% support.

OHIO ELECTION OVERTURNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUSH PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kerry ballots were discovered in black boxes in lakes, streams, creeks, and rivers all over the Buckeye State! All doubts have been erased! John Kerry Won Ohio!
John Kenneth Blackwell is so pissed off that he jumped off the Ohio State Capitol Rotunda!
Even though the Mass Senator won Ohio quite handily, it is still determined that Bush won the popular vote by three million!
Even so, Bush is so pissed off, that he doused himself with gasoline and lit the match! I love it when Republicans get pissed off!
Stay tuned for more breaking news on Kerry winning Ohio on CNN, Fox, and MSNBC. Fox had to go black; they did not have the guts to report the breaking story!
Are we having fun yet, conservatives??????

I heard it a bit differently. Blackwell doused Taft with gasoline for pleading nolo contendre to misdemeanor charges. Noe doused his wife with kerosene for saying Ohio had a good election in 2004, and both Noes planted a bomb in the basement of the Toledo Blade (it didn't go off because the guy who built it for Noe got paid with hot gold coins and couldn't spen them, so he defused it). Carlo LoParo said criticism of Ohio politics is a "liberal myth"; he ordered gasoline to dump on John Glenn. Attorney General Petro was quoted as saying that dumping gasoline on liberals isn't a crime in Ohio.
Jack Nicklaus announced he was switching to the Democratic party. Pete Rose said he was considering doing the same thing, but warned people not to bet on it.
Stay tuned for updates from the Buckeye state.

Please visit Sen. Kennedy's site and sign up for emails and sign the petitions on his site. Sen. Kennedy has been fighting for the poor and vulnerable as long as I can remember.
~~~~~~~~
the White House needs a plan for success in Iraq. And over the past few weeks, more than 27,000 of you sent that message straight to the White House.
It amazed me to watch the numbers grow--first as a trickle, and then skyrocketing by the thousands. That outpouring from our growing online community demonstrates how Americans across Massachusetts--and the country--want to unite around what matters to us.
The folks who delivered the petition have a post on our website's journal:
http://www.tedkennedy.com/whdelivery
As out of touch as this President can seem, he can't ignore the growing skepticism about our progress in Iraq. And it's not partisan opposition--it's fundamental discontent seen in our returning soldiers, in congressional testimony, and among friends in the international community.
While our soldiers fight overseas, the White House ignores its responsibility to offer a strategy for success. Granted, they have a host of questions to answer these days in Washington--but some of them speak directly to the importance of this critical task.
The sacrifices made by our soldiers in Iraq--brave Americans fighting for a country they value above of their own lives--merit more than press conferences and photo-ops. Our troops deserve the hope that only a real plan for success can give them.
Ultimately, we the voters must hold this President and our leaders in Congress accountable--and elect leaders who represent our values in Washington.
That's why we need, more than ever, to stand together and stand with Senator Kennedy.
I look forward to working with you over the next few months. Together, we will continue to give the Senator the support and energy he needs to keep standing up for our values.
Sincerely,
Marty Walsh
~~~~~~~~~
Senator Robert C. Byrd has spent 47 years serving the people of West Virginia and the nation with great skill and dedication, and he has often been a profile in courage. In recent years, for example, he has stood eloquently by his values and opposed the Iraq War, at a time when many others were silent.
Even now, as Republican smear groups circle his re-election campaign and attack his principled position, he refuses to be silent. He has encouraged us all to live up to our responsibilities as Americans, and he has helped us immensely.
Now, he needs our help, and I hope you will join me in supporting his campaign for re-election in 2006.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee is spending a significant part of its multi-million dollar war chest to blanket West Virginia in a TV assault that distorts And attacks Senator Byrd's dedication to our country.
We can't let that happen. Please make a contribution to his campaign, and help him obtain the funds he needs to fight back effectively.
http://www.byrd2006.com/donate/kennedy.cfm
The Republican Party has chosen the wrong target. Senator Byrd is a unique public servant whose proven dedication, leadership ability, hard work, and outstanding record for the people of West Virginia are legendary.
He'll stand up to the attacks against him with the same vigor and passion he has shown in the Senate for nearly five decades. But we cannot let him walk alone into this battle.
Let's all join together and help Senator Byrd respond to the smear tactics of the Republican Party:
As Americans and as Democrats, it is our duty to protect honorable politicians like Senator Byrd from baseless attacks designed to confuse the voters of West Virginia and distract them from what is needed to make their lives better.
The Republican leadership is abusing their power to use the Senate as a weapon to enforce their ideology. And, they are trying to do the same in West Virginia by smearing Senator Byrd. We cannot let them dismantle the Senate to serve their goals - and we cannot let them attack public servants like Senator Byrd.
We have to stop the Republican defamers from silencing his powerful voice in 2006 to advance their own agenda. You can help him win a well-deserved victory in the coming campaign.
Make sure Senator Byrd continues to serve our Party--and our country. Join me in support for this truly great American.
Thank you for doing as much as you can in this all-important effort. You'll be glad you did, and so will the country.

Rep. Conyers helped introduce Cindy and the vital work she is doing to save lives by inviting her to testify in his Downing Street Minutes adhoc Hearing that was covered by C-Span and there were other Gold Star Famlies for Peace who had lost loved ones to Bushco' Pack of Lies who gave heartbreaking testimony and in the questions and answers, Conyers was surprised by all the other family members who wanted to talk about and show photos of their loved ones and Conyers took the time to allow them to do it though the scheduled time for his hearing in the basement which was the only room Sensenbrenner couldn't forbid him to use was up. Conyers was also expected at the demonstration that was to march to the White House with the signatures of 130 members of Congress and over a half million American citizens.
Conyers and the 5 other Congresspersons with him were stopped outside the barred gates of our White House and Conyers had to pass the petitions through the bars to a young guard since Bush would not meet with Congresspersons on the People's business.
Indymedia had pictures of one of the most honorable members of Congress being stopped at the barred gates.
Please write, or email or call Senator John Kerry and request that he NOT withdraw from the lawsuit against the obstruction of the recount in Ohio.
This is very important to Rep. Conyers and I think we should try to help him when he asks.
You can access Sen. Kerry at his website by typing his name into Search Engine. Congress.org will publish your Letters to Leaders on the screen almost immediately so you don't feel that they disappear down a rabbit hole.
PLEASE go to ConyersBlog.com to read about the ACTION ITEMS he provides and requests about Cindy in Crawford, writing letters, signing his letter and VERY IMPORTANT - THAT RAT JOHN KERRY IS ABOUT TO WITHDRAW FROM THE SUIT AGAINST OHIO'S OBSTRUCTION OF THE VOTERS IN THE 2004 PRESIDENTIAL "ELECTION" AND THIS SUIT IS AGAINST THE OBSTRUCTION OF A FAIR RECOUNT.
Anyone who kept up with the daily reports on The Green Party Recount site and Rep. Conyers' brave informal hearings since as a member of the minority party does not have subpeona power and the Republican Chairman Sensenbrenner would not let him hold formal Hearings on Ohio and made him use a basement for the Downing Street Memos hearings also covered by C-SPAN and which featured Cindy Sheehan's testimony about her son's death and introduced Cindy's activism to a wider audience.
People worked their hearts out for Kerry and to have a real President both before the "election" and after in the months long investigation into the Election Fraud in Ohio and Ken Blackwell and others are now in big trouble for suppressing the vote in Ohio for a very long time, BUT TO PUT THEM IN JAIL THE LAWSUIT THAT KERRY MUST SIGN OFF ON NEEDS TO CONTINUE. Please write to Kerry to continue this lawsuit ASAP as the deadline for kerry to sign is Aug. 30, 2005..

36% is down there comparable to Nixon's last part of his presidency before resigning in disgrace.
His approval ratings are slipping, more and more Americans are seeing the Iraq war for the unnecessary quagmire that it is, high-ranking administration officials are under investigation...
The Bush regime just might have to rig up another inside job like it did on 9/11...
