Gotta love this stuff..
With gasoline demand the biggest component of oil consumption at about 40 percent, many environmentalists say the only way to reduce petroleum demand significantly is to boost vehicle fuel efficiency.
But lawmakers on Wednesday blocked an effort to improve U.S. vehicle fuel efficiency.
( from link )
the ONE thing we need most, and "lawmakers" won't force the car companies to do it.. and the "conservative" friend I know doesn't think auto-makers/oil have anything to do with it (said "I bet you think they buy up patents too, so they can prevent using the ideas".. I would have sworn that's been proved).

I've found a preacher going on and on about Damascus, some Mexican music, sports - BUT NO BRAD!
I weep...

No I can't, Savantster. I have plain ol' copper-wire, 26 kbs dial-up. Our area is rural and hill-bound, so no cell-phones either.

Hang tough, Peg. Brad is doing well and all four of his guests have been very good. We'll get something online as soon as we can.

Thanks, Winter. Oh, and Winter: are the guests in the studio with him or remote - or a mix? I'm SO jealous of you guys right now!

I can't believe it...I emailed via rawstory telling Brad I could hear him l/c and offer congrats...from where I am listening, Santiago Chile. 10 mins later he is reading it on the air....great start to a badly needed alternative to "some" other radio shows.

is there some FCC ruling that makes them play a song each 1/2 hour? I don't get why we keep taking breaks at 30 minutes..

Brad has been great. I knew from listening to him on links to his recent radio appearances that he would be a natural for this kind of thing- great voice, articulate, smooth, quick on his feet and, in this broadcast, able to deal with less than optimal circumstances and with little time to prepare. Wow! A whole new career in the making? Just don't give up your blog! A lot of us would feel like we'd lost our home and our best friends.

Fabulous - and thanks to Torqued, I was able to hear the final few minutes, albeit with annoying delays for "buffering." I'll try again tomorrow.

Peg C,
The Real Player feed is the best for 26.4 modem connections and you can download the free player at real.com.
Real.com are known snoops so fill in bogus info after installation. Edit the preferences configuration to disable as much snooping as possible and prevent the program from loading when Windows boots.

Grandson!
I was listening when Brad Friedman's THE BRAD SHOW went to Air for the first time!
Alistair Cooke must be nervously rotating in his grave!
Great job Brad, all your very special guests and Winter Patriot for the timely links and updates.

My fellow Brad Blog netizens --
I once began a project (discussed briefly with Brad), then got involved in other (not so important) things but now I want to finish it.
I need your help testing this device and your suggestions for improvement. In short, does it work as expected? Is it useful to us? If you were providing this device, what would you do differently? Etcetera...
Note this device is a work in progress and any input you can offer is appreciated.
Thanks

Great little app!
The linking HTML generator works like a charm.
Dumb Question: How do I cut & paste text or images created within the Text Editor into Brad Blog? (my copy & cut are greyed)

Thank you, Winter Patriot, for Brad's address..I don't like using PayPal. My donation to the Bradblog is in its envelope (missed the mailman yesterday). I also ordered some VR car magnets, one for me & the rest to give to friends.
I was weeping along with Peg last night since I couldn't listen, so I'm looking forward EAGERLY to hearing an audio of the The Brad Show at some later point.
Thanks to all of you & especially to Brad for keeping my hope-guy on life-support.

I don't know! LOL. Did you try clicking the "View Source" check box then select the code? I don't use MS Windows so I need your help in pointing out the problems. Thanks for your reply and everyone for your comments. I'll look into it.

Hey everybody! Wow! I got to hear a little bit last night and I'm trying to hear a little more today - still want to hear all of it. WOW!!
Torqued - your little package is great!
Bushw@cker #34 - try ctrl A (to select all ) then ctrl C (to copy) then ctrl V (to paste) in comment box. That's how I do it - does that work for you?
WOW again! Brad did a Super job - he is a Natural! I heard a little of the interview with Robert Koehler and was floored to hear him talk about the word from the top that won't allow discussion of this Fraud in the media.
More later - Thanks Everybody! Thanks Brad, Clint, Andy, Larisa & Robert!
