But yesterday I think I suggested (somewhere on Bradblog) that ACORN would have their story spun, (Or turned upside-down and how long would it take-- I think was my words) and today I noticed RawStory reporting this insanity on Glen Beck. What the hell, does Beck just like have a screwdriver and peck at a plywood all day or what the hell is up with this dude.

Alright back to 9/11 sadness day.

Eight years later and I mourn my losses of that day not only in terms of it's most precious human loss, but measured by the broader macro of now, which double compounds my grief, today. Such unforeseen dramatic drops in measured civil graces of then-verses-now. If you'd shown me a clip of this Congress Chamber eight years ago ("You LIE!") I would've guessed I was watching Jerry Springer, or dismissed you as a visitor from one of our probable futures here to warn us that we still had the time to change our ways...

How did we go from such human heights - receiving rescue-dog booties, homemade cookies and cards in crayon from school children at the site; hundreds of people lining up along the West Side Highway to cheer the first responders after their endless, depressing, life-altering hours of sifting through tons of debris and body parts and twisted steel (and thermite?!) with their bare hands.

A million nightmares later, and that is still the one that trumps them all. The horror from which all other horrors spring forth fully formed --- most of them completely imaginary.
God, I miss Mr. Rogers.

So glad there's real news on the radio tonight combined with a live chat room of (mostly) not stupid people. Brad's actually saving me tons in therapy (not covered by my employer tho' he IS my pre-existing mental condition) and / or automatic gun purchases and various permit fees / background checks to openly carry to community events so I can look as cool as Ernest H. and his pals when they go a-slingin' semi-automatics Arizona-style!

Well, the public option is in the shitter for sure, so what does it matter? This bill will make it illegal for dick, pretty much, since they can't even muster the sack to investigate torture properly. Somebody get these fucks some dentures, 'cause they got no teeth!

We're all being turned into paupers-9/11 is a pretext for far more than perpetual war. Obama stands there spouting platitudes about heroes of 9/11 while the rescue workers die horrific deaths with no financial support even though funds were allocated!, he ignores the people victimized in the katrina debacle, he continues spouting the fiction of Al Queda & Osama Bin Laden & the Taliban being a threat to all americans. Millions of people have been murdered by the likes of John Negroponte FOR DECADES and even Jimmy Carter is complicit in moving this whole ugly along when he was president! We've simply got to stop mourning the dead and start standing up, telling the TRUTH. Our country is being run by mass murderers and has been for decades (nagasaki anyone? How come that bomb was available so quickly? How long was it in the planning stages? Why were so many nazi criminals hired by the u.s.? Why were nuclear bombs set off here in our own country? Why were and are deadly drug and other tests being done on our own people (military, blacks, the incompetent)? Why are level 4 labs being sold to and run by corporations (see the anthrax wars by eric nadler for a great contribution to your nightmare collection)? And why are our tax dollars being weaponized against ALL OF US? If Obama was who he presented himself to be during the campaign, the bailouts would have come to US, not the killer banks! If the country was being run by rational human beings, we'd have dealt with stabilizing the economy and dealt with the environmental crises we face and never even STARTED poisoning our air, water, land, and food decades ago. Instead, we are thrown scraps- forced to beg for health care reform and being completely ignored, and 'given' the pittance of unemployment 'benefits' and 'workers comp', and we get to sit here watching while our retirement funds are completely stripped clean, with absolutely no action by our 'representatives' in washington. I feel like a skeleton in the desert right about now. Sorry so dark, but this is the truth of it and I am tired of pretending everything is 'gonna be fine'. Happy 9/11 day!
