I wish I could feel good about this, but I really won't be able to until President Obama is SWORN IN. Until then, the Chimperor and his cronies will be like a pack of cornered wolverines, snarling and spitting and clawing at everything around them. They may yet finish the complete and utter destruction of the USA before January rolls around.

I think election integrity fighters deserve a huge amount of credit of reporting the attacks against US democracy. You stepped in to do something that the mainstream US media --- nakedly exposed as fascist, and the laughingstock of the world --- has utterly failed to do.
Take a deserved break, but PLEASE DO NOT GET COMPLACENT.
Please continue applying pressure on US leadership. Put fire to their asses until every last electronic voting machine is scrapped, stripped of useful parts, melted down, and recycled.
THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF US DEMOCRACY, but democracy around the world.

Congratulations, Brad, on the Obama election integrity. What about the local races? Were they all true results? And, PLEASE, someone help Michelle Obama. That was the ugliest dress I've ever seen last night and totally inappropriate for a first lady to be.

Yes. He can. We can. I agree with others, it won't feel quite secure before Obama is actually sworn in. But I believe he will be. I believe also, though, that we can't expect everything to change in a moment. There have been eight disastrous years of policy in this country that will not be undone in even ONE term.
So now it's time to really look at the the long term.
And PS I give Brad Friedman ZERO credit for this. He's no doubt made all the money he needs to off his site. He, personally, has done more harm than good.
Obama won because of us. Not naysayer, self-serving Brad.
I only read this website to find out what the cuckoos are up to.

Kismet #12,
The Steal You Won't See
"While Obama is brushing his tux for his Inaugural, six million votes are getting disappeared."
"the steal may save the GOP's ability to savage, obstruct, sabotage and ---- (fuck) with President Obama's ability to repair the damage of eight years of looting by the unelected junta of the Bush regime. "

Though I'm relieved the GOP is no longer in control, I'm still saddened to know that no charges will be brought against anyone involved in the last 8 years of horrendous corruption, particularly bush and cheney. For the more than ONE million people murder for LIES, for the stolen elections, for the wiretapping, retroactively legalized, for the torture, et al. Both bush and cheney will waltz off with FULL PENSION and HEALTH CARE for the rest of their lousy lives. And bush in particular will find haven in Paraguay at his 98,000 acre ranch along with other known nazis and criminals like Moon.
It is a mixed bag of joy and frustration to know that a black man will lead this nation, but will not attempt to imprison anyone in the organized crime syndicate that DC is become.

Much much much better than McCain but Obama still represents the corporate party.
He will most likely govern as a 'Blue Dog' democrat.
My only 'hope' is that his agenda will a bit left for 'Blue Dog.'
Rahm Emanual as Chief-of-Staff is partnering with a 'Blue Dog' pit bull... one who is well known for squashing progressive politics and candidates around the country.
Here in VT we had a progressive candidate for governor who had a good chance against the republican incumbent... and was building a progressive-democrat coalition.... and then the 'Blue Dog' democract VT speaker of the house jumped into the race late, splitting the anti-Douglas vote and effecting his re-election.
This happened in many races in 2004 as well.
Hope is all I have... a hope that Obama is a secret anti-corporate social liberal..... but not much of one.

Not much hope that is....
I'm hoping that Obama is not closer to a Saruman than a Gandalf.
I do consider Obama a wizard with the ability to place a glamour on people with his words..... I only hope it is for good and not evil.

I don't get it Kismet, you make zero sense.
Advocating for open, transparent and verifiable elections is somehow harmful to America?
Just spouting out invective without citation is little more than vapid and empty rhetoric.
Please, tell us why you believe Brad Friedman harms the electoral process, and back it up with documentation.
Until then, your comment is worthless.

The nightmare is over.
"They got the guns but we got the numbers. We're gonna win, yeah we're TAKING OVER!"
I can now dig my poor little American flag out of the basement and display it once again for all to see. It's been there since March 2003.
I don't envy Barack. He has a hellish mess to try and clean up.
Thank the powers that be that the DNC was right. All right, Howard Dean, you knew what you were doing. (Bev Harris and others were right, too, in the comments here a couple days ago.) The numbers for Obama completely overwhelmed the dirty tricks.
And thanks to the powers that be for Brad, Bev, and all the other tireless election integrity advocates who are calling it like it is and working to make sure that everyone who is entitled to vote can vote and that each and every vote will be accurately counted and reported.

Regarding Michelle Obama's dress -
Liberation colors. The dress and the design were a celebration of freedom for African Americans. Sent a message that was received and applauded at the house parties, I can tell you.
My husband (who I guess you could say puts the "Black" in Black Box Voting) said that the party he was at they shouted, 'that dress it I-T-T!'. That dress is IT.
So it can be in the eye of the beholder, you know. There was a meaning behind the dress.
