We have to stop running everything on credit. We are living beyond our means, and somehow the more we do it, the more OTHERS suffer. I think most sane people call that "criminal"....

Turdblossom's "Insiders Guide to Swinging Elections".
"Our five-minute film features Turdblossom (Karl Rove) with a Snidely Whiplash moustache, jib jabbing to a cartoon room of Republican Operatives about how he plans to steal the White House for John McCain.
Our mission, with this funny little film is to educate and activate and EMPOWER millions of voters around this country to put their bodies and hearts on the front lines of the election to protect their vote on November 4th.
You can start right now, by sending this little film with a big message to all the people you know. Then...
Ask yourself, what it is, that you can do, on 11/04 to save your country. Then do it."
Spread Love...

You know, Phil, I tried to watch that earlier and between that guy talking as though someone had drugged him with a bucket of downers and the fantastic nature of his claims, I decided to turn it off and not blog it. Did it end up better than it started? Is there something to that?
I can't figure out what on earth would inspire these fucks to bail out foreign debt and foreign banks.
The only thing I could come up with is that if they made this big show of cash it might make the EU and everyone else take us more seriously again in our attempts to scare the snot out of just about everybody out there... sort of a way to fake-up the idea that we're still the world's only mega-superpower.
Too thin. I don't think it washes... but I didn't keep listening.

99 - I got pounded on this bailout thing today.
So I am going to respectfully let it go.
I tried to stop it, I showed an alternative, that's all I can say. Seems nobody agrees with Karl Denninger's Genesis Plan. (PDF WARNING) So that's fine, don't blame me when $1 equals .50 , don't blame me when this does nothing to restore confidence in the markets. Don't blame me when no American homeowners get bailed out.

99 - the guy "Karl Denninger" at that link is a republican (who says he's going to vote democrat now) he had a business fail back in the dot com bust. He took his licks on that. And no I don't agree with all his politics. But I support his plan. And agree with what he's been saying about the markets for many days now... Since November 2007. Which is actually a lot of information that most never followed.
I need to drop this now. That vote by the senate really angers me. It's defeat in my face on top of the abuse I took all day, trying to justify vague drive by one-liners purposely worded to screw with my mind.
I need to sit back and listen to the show now..

Well, before the last vote, I wrote to my Republican representative and assurred him that if he didn't do everything in his power to stop the passage of that bill, I would do everything in my power to make sure he didn't get to go back to Washington in January. He amazed me and voted against it. So, I thanked him. Now, I guess I just have to send him a little reminder that I'm still watching him.

Conception does not happen at the moment of intercourse. It can take days afterward, and so the morning after pill is NOT abortion.

I really don't care what Palin would personally do or whether she thinks life begins at the moment of conception or the instant of penetration. All I want to know is, what would she do to prevent her personal point of view from being imposed upon other women? Would she oppose legislation to prohibit abortion as energetically as she would oppose legislation to mandate it?

"Conception does not happen at the moment of intercourse. It can take days afterward, and so the morning after pill is NOT abortion."
Wish it was that simple but it is not completely understood whether the so-called "morning after pill" (they are actually licensed for use up to 72 hours after intercourse) acts by preventing ovulation (most think it does) or preventing implantation (which would make it an abortifacient), or both. The debate rages on, but it probably doesn't matter to most of the anti-abortion fundamentalists, many of whom are against all forms of contraception.

I sure wish that bailout bill had a clause that would have paid for it like,...
mandating it use all the funding for the Office of Faith Based Inititives and then used both the House and Senate healthcare and pension funds to insure it before they were allowed to use one taxpayer dollar
