Just yesterday we mentioned that there was not a lot about voting system problems in West Virginia. Today the media woke up and began reporting. Nothing really serious but there were problems reported and probably many more that the media never discovered or cared to ask about.
There may have been fraud in the handling of ballots in a local school council race in Chicago. Losing candidates, all incumbents, have hired an attorney and asked for a new election. …

Candice Hoke downplays the concept of election fraud
The Lindeman exact quote
Does Mark Lindeman get paid to “consult” like this?
Lindeman might want to stick to his notes next time. It’s pretty clear that he was evoking authority and taking potshots at people like Brad and Bev Harris.
Election Journal is reporting that one Kentucky county is VERY serious poll worker shortage for Tuesday’s primary.
Making matters worse, the couty will be using Hart touch screens for the very first time on Tuesday.
Sophistry and Wiggle Room
Lindeman in 2006:
But when asked to clarify, he never answered why.
Imho, folks like Lindeman and Hertzberg sought to give the impression that they were election integrity activists. But in the long run it appears that it has been their function to legitemize Bush as having been elected President.
If I’m not mistaken, Lindeman and Liddle have no expertise to argue statistics against someone like Professor Freeman. Kathy Dopp appears to have math skills, but she was banned from DU for no good reason, just like I was about a week ago.
I admit I am just a common annoying citizen on a hobby horse. But as regards to Kathy Dopp, why was she banned? Where is the proof that she broke any rules? Why does the DU think that deleting someone’s posts is proof that rules were broken?
Setting the Stage For Sophistry and the Evoking of Authority
This thread took place in May 2005, before it became widely known that Lindeman has an agenda. He responded at the beginning of the thread, praising the concerned election integrity writer and implying that he too agreed that the 2004 election stunk.
So there are two quotes from Lindeman. Tne first he said that he did believe that the election was stolen. With the one from 2005, he wasn’t as certain, but he came pretty damn close to it.
My message is to the election integrity activists who know a million more things than me on this topic. Those calling for Lindeman type “audits” and paper trails for machines are gaming the system. They are in your way, our way, of making sure elections are on the up and up.
