Came across this rather amusing House floor “Procedure Off” from last January between Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and pal/boss/roommate of vote fraudsters Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC). BlogActive’s Mike Rogers, who pointed us to the video in his report on McHenry and his many questionably registered roomies, describes it as “priceless.” We’ll concur, and add that it’s worthy of a quick viewing in exchange for at least a few chuckles…
It will make its way to the rulers of the
unitedStates (the military industrial complex) for private showings and comedy nite.Perhaps they will change the rules to allow fist fights … which should garner more viewers.
As obnoxious as this whole exchange is, hats off to Barney for not allowing a congressman to use an inappropriate rule about procedures for a question regarding debate. It sounds like nit-picking, but, just because time is available for one thing, you cannot use it for something else un-related. That’s cheating and wasting time. That’s the whole purpose of parliamentary procedure, after all. Barney is a determined teacher.

The whole bunch of Rethugs there were like a pack of wild hyenas circling around to wear down the prey (Barney Frank). They were handing off to one another with great glee/enjoyment – the opportunity to take a bite that would accumulate into numerous flesh wounds – and then they could move in for the final kill.
