What happened to all the “feel good” newspaper articles from Utah. The press and television news is going to have to claim Responsibility for the mess too. They only reported the “Diebold line” and could have done something about this by asking tough questions YEARS AGO!

      YEARS AND YEARS AGO!

This is undoubtedly going to be, if it isn’t already, the worst election, and, by far, the most costly in Utah’s history! Is the press going to report on the monetary and voter confidence cost of this debacle or continue to protect the officials who caused it?

Local ABC television host Chris Vanocur HAS been giving some coverage and this should be noted!

      Quote from Utah article above:

Joe Demma, who is a spokesman for the Lieutenant Governor’s Office puts the blame on the “poorly crafted” federal voting law, which mandated that states upgrade to the machines.

Utah is the only state that has mandated Diebold, statewide for the 2006 election. It does not seem logical to blame that on the HAVA Act, if no other state felt obligated to implement the machines so widely without even having enough machines to deploy.

      Nice try Joe!
