San Diego Co. is charging between $0.76 and $0.95 per ballot for a possible recount but Orange Co. California charged $0.14 per ballot for a comparable recount last April. The county says the extra cost is to cover making other documents available. / Over 4000 Riverside Co. California ballots were rejected because they were not received prior to election-day. / Unfortunately a judge in Texas found that Travis Co. can continue to use their unverifiable voting machines….

So the voting rights movement is going to capitulate and call it a recount?

The fact is, nevertheless, that when there has not been a valid and legal first count, there can be no charge for a recount.

The first count is free, but an illegal count is not a first count.

Those who refuse to capitulate in CA-50 want a first legal count without a poll tax! NOW!!!!

      Capitulate capeesh?

      To find out:

      1) who Larry King’s Wife is
      2) the one person who certifies EVM’s in the USA
      3) that one person is a republican operative
      4) paid by republican EVM makers (Diebold et al)

(hint, the one person is not Larry King’s wife).

PS: EVM = Electronic Voting Machine

Brad: This comment is not specifically aimed at this blog item. It is rather a heartfelt congratulations and thank you for the passion and energy that you have shown over the life of this story.

Your contribution to our democracy cannot be overstated, though I am sure it will be totally unappreciated by those who have the most to lose when finally every vote is counted.

Time magazine Man of the Year when the battle is won? Though deserved, it might not be in the cards. But it’s deserved nonetheless.
