Susan Collins is no sucker; the people who voted for her are. One thing I’ve learned from involvement in local politics is that actions speak louder than words. It takes a lot of time to sit through city council meetings (I do get a lot of knitting done, however), but it’s the only way to know what my councillors are really doing, as opposed to the platitudes they spout every two years.
