Brad! LOL
Of course, they forgot all the bombs, bullets, and missiles we fire as "foreign aid"!
We should all be ashamed, the government is suppose to serve at the will of the people, this is no longer true.
We have allowed the government to become a perversion of the freedom offered under our constitution, they now empower themselves and the big influences in politics is cronyism.
Good cartoon!
We can do better.
That’s beautiful!
And while we’re at it, here is another great cartoon.
Brilliant, WP. Funniest part is following the crawls at the bottom! 🙂
"(Freepers masturbate to Ann Coulter…Ann Coulter not a man…just very conservative woman.)"
etc.
Thanks, Brad. And, yeah, you’re right about the crawlers. I only noticed them about halfway through reading the piece, and then I had to go back and read the whole thing again.
An interesting story from a Pakistani news site discussing the extent of U.S. millitary’s knowledge about the impending tsunami, and what (little) they did to inform others.
I don’t buy most of what the story says, but I wouldn’t mind hearing how the military and State Department would reply to the comments made.
Anybody else have comments? And does anybody out there with a little more knowledge about these things know: What do two military aircraft carriers being sent into the area have to do with rescue operations?
Hi, MikeyCan.
That’s a good article. Thanks for the link.
Can you explain why you don’t buy most of what the story says?
It looks like the tsunami threw a curve into this administration’s new agenda. They’re very confused, I read.
Hi Winter Patriot,
Always love to read your contributions!
By saying I don’t buy most of what the Pakistani Daily Times story says, I am just saying that I need to read responses to the allegations… hear from both sides… before I start getting an idea of where the truth lies.
The same goes for most any news story – with so much partisan reporting from *any* McMedia news sources these days, I prefer not to outright believe everything in a story right away, but to note points that interest me, and wait for responses/reporting from other parties before I can develop an educated, strong(er) standpoint on the issue.
In regards to the Curtis story, though, when parties such as Feeney and YEI refuse to be interviewed, and then release statements which include out-and-out lies (eg. (1) that Hai Lin Nee never worked for YEI, and (2) that Curtis is a disgruntled employee, it becomes quite obvious to me that Feeney/YEI have a *lot* they are trying to hide.
