Great idea, just like mr. steele's blog of the same name, it implies that readers are actually peering up your anus.
Kind of virtual colonoscopy.

Brad-I think it's an awful idea. What Up is SO overused, you are gonna get buried. Plus made fun of. Did someone talk you INTO this? If so, they don't have your best interests at heart. I'd keep working on it, and get something that is instantly identifiable as YOU (as in BradBlog), and more pointed as to subject matter. BradBlast or BradBurnsUp or something that is passionate and gives a FEELING as well as a political point of view. (my examples TOTALLY SUCK, as they are off-the-cuff, but they give you some idea of how to play on your name while adding more focus to the name. Hope this assists. I LOVE your blog, and visit almost every day. Ciao!

How about BradMouthinBlue or BradMouthinGood or just BradMouthin? I like BradBlog though, am used to it I guess. Whatever you call it, keep up the good work, esp re the voting machines. Can't have a democracy when the vote is counted in secrecy without verification. Impossible.

No I don't like it Brad but then you do get used to tinned beans after a while and for newcommers bradblog doesnt say much straight away. I know cause when I give people your address verbally their reation is like they don't get it. Sorry I know its hard to please everyone 100% and right now I have no ideas.
Newsflash
23rd April 2009
Success! Minister Gormley has announced "that the Government has decided not to proceed with the implementation of electronic voting in Ireland."
OT
You may have posted this already but I've just seen it and its good news I think ( for the Irish ) until someone tells me otherwise.
Ireland and Germany may well become a haven for radicals who support real elections.
I tried to get the media here ( NZ ) to cover Arnie's Vetoes and came up blank. None of our television networks or major news outlets would cover it. If its not reported in reputable news(propaganda )outlets like the New York or Los Angeles times then it never happened. Just like Fox and that rallie that never happened. It must be a conspiracy theory.
Looks like the media here are now good loyal Corporate Americans. Creepy

If you officially change your blog's name, I will have to delete the old name and enter in the new name in my "favorites list." I really don't know if I can make the time.

No, it's all good. Go for it. No downsides. Once again the Blog Formerly Known As Brad trailblazing the way, this time on a previously unimagined bridge to nowhere. Hilarious.
p.s. I'm still relatively new to the ether world here but Sophia, that was about the sweetest thing I've ever read on a computer. Didn't know innocence could be conveyed in this medium. Thank you. That was an unexpected mindblow.

BradBlog is synonymous with ... Brad Blog, all over the www.
Change it if you wish, but What Up? You know, the-blog-that-used-to-be-BradBlog seems unnecessarily long-winded to me.

Sorry, Brad, I have got to say that the respect you have on the internet, the recognition you have established, is a great momentum that should not be abandoned. BRADBLOG is happening, and why dodge the ones recently being turned on to your objectivity, and exposes' of the real world. Keep goin, as is, lest the awareness, by way of Brad Friedman be left to confusion for the travelers to come along. Let light come upon all. Your smarts, Brad are valuable. Thanks.

Hey Brad
The victories against Electronic voting in Germany and Ireland are very likely in large part due to your tireless efforts, high quality journalism and personal sacrifices over the last 8 years. Many commenters quote the mess in America as reason not to go forward with electronic voting. The MSM didn't tell them about that did they. Word got out from the internet where you and Bev Harris are I think the major players and were certinly the first.
In New Zealand now many people I talk to don't need convincing any more on the subject but our media still don't talk about it ever.
The official word in NZ is that E voting is many years away. We may still face this in the distant future.
The rest of us who still have working democracies owe you. Thats a call for international donations to the anti e-voting movement ie Bradblog.
Still looming however is the threat of a deliberate global financial collapse and a new world currency from which would emerge a global dictatorship.
One credible theory I've heard for the wars in the middle east is that once the worlds oil is under control of the weatlhy elite then countries will have to accept the new currency to get oil. The entire world would grind to a halt without it.
That might explain the pushing back of new energy sources. Once the world no longer depends on oil they cannot enforce a global currency/dictatorship. If they, (the wealthy elite who rule america) ascend before we loose dependency on oil we will never escape them.
One of the best ways to fight this is for people to get together and learn how to install their own cheap energy sources. Loan money to each other start worker cooperatives etc etc. If we remove our dependancy on them now then we stand a better chance of winning. I don't know how close they are to the control over oil they need to enforce a global currency but if its a couple of years away then we have some time to get busy.
Keep fighting capital hill but also look into converting your car to run on electric etc etc.
A thought occured that a non profit do it yourself clean energy group could research and help people the world over start converting. There might already be one.

What about asking for or creating a list of possible names if you'd like to change, which is fine for any of several reasons. Then do a survey. Whatup does not do it for me, for example.

Awww, Brad, that was such a sweet thread. I think you should print it & frame it. I am SO NOT innocent, believe me (am a radical now taking to standing up in meetings of all kinds & shocking 'the converted' out of their mass-hypnotic self-satisfied smugness!!!), but my alter ego-Helpful Hannah-occasionally takes over and runs riot. Note the amt of time it took me to regain control-just ONE MINUTE between idiot, helpful post and realizing I'd been had by Brad (and Brad, you can HAVE me anytime you want me, just as soon as you quit the cancer sticks, ok?) . Sally, YOU are right on the MONEY. My only other comment-take your meager little monies outa the banks, put them in local credit unions now-and figure out what to do as the dollare is going boom - probly by end of year. What will you do then? Join time exchanges, plant your own garden, help your older and disabled neighbors with THEIR gardens, and batten down the hatches! It's gonna be a seriously bumpy ride. Read David Korten's books-he has an excellent game plan. Talk to Unitarian/Quaker type churches near you & get them to start a movement to take their money out of the banks as well. And finally-befriend the kids in the lower income neighborhoods near you-say hi, help them understand that money is a fictiand wo with THEM to create stability in your area. They are strong, intelligent, KNOW that shit is coming down & are thirsty for epowerment, engagement, and affirmation. YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS. Us white folk (sorry-making assumptions) actually DO have to start hanging around with people who know the deal b/c they've gone through oppression for centuries. We don't know what to do b/c we've never been the target before-BUT WE ARE NOW! That's all for today from the erstwhile innocent (but mouthy) Sophia see y'all on the flip side!

Hi Sophia
Yes the collapse does seem iminent but I my doubts are as follows. We don't know the true scale of the fortunes of the Rockerfellas and perhaps even the Rothchilds. I heard one completely unverifiable report that Rockerfella has 100 trillion dollars and if there was any truth in this then a collapse could happen when he chooses it. We just don't know.
This collapse has been engineered so unless they are prepared and able to enforce a global currency I see them waiting untill all elements are safely tidied up. Of course they may have engineered this crisis as a panick back when Iraq, Iran and North Korea started trading oil in Euro's which if it had domminoed would have crashed the US dollar indefinately. You can watch Robert Newmans Brilliant standup commedy "The History of oil" here to get his take on what happened before the invasion of Iraq. Go to 30 seconds into part 6 if you don't have time to watch the whole thing.
Another way to stop their agenda is to make them withdraw from Iraq, Afghanistan etc and to bring the CIA under control. Dreams are free I suppose.
Hello Mick
Im also in an undisclosed location somewhere near the world if there is such a thing as locational privacy these days
