In the bill passed Saturday, the republicans in the House all (except Johnson (IL) and Jones (NC)) voted to give Bush what he demanded: warrantless wiretaps of americans.

(House Vote).

It is a day of infamy, and it portends the final days of what was once american democracy.

It is not the system that counts, it is the people in the system. And those democrats in the House listed above, and all republicans save two, are pure and simple traitors to the 4th Amendment.

The leadership (Pelosi, Hoyer, Murtha, etc) voted against the bushie's S. 1927, which authorizes warrantless wiretaps of US Citizens (even after FISA court ruled them illegal).

It was the blue dog democrats who caved in.

There is a very good expose and rant at DailyKos which supports our view that the US Democracy is now inevitably passing away.

And as you know, DailyKos is very "moderate" compared to us here at Bradblog.

I didn't hear a word about it on the Sunday morning talk shows. I guess it didn't happen.

Don't forget, the MSM could inform Americans, but chooses not to. They are also complicit.
