More non-denial denials than Nixon had throughout the Watergate scandal. What a crock!

Mr. Sanchez, you don't REALLY have to sheepishly explain to Ensign and the rest of us that "it's just my job" to ask the necessary questions!
Should you?

Happy New Years!
Did this guy fall out of a time machine from the 70's?
This fcking robot knows that if the investigation goes along and you get a few of the right people in place involved that not only will people/voters forget BUT more importantly, all wrongdoing could eventually be cleared by the real decision makers.. your Illuminati Masters.
Did the Senator sleep with the interviewer's wife also? Look out for Anthrax.

James @ #4: Agreed. I don't think this was a spanking at all. Sanchez is WAY too apologetic. "Thank you for appreciating my persistence" ?!
Sorta mealy-mouthed, impotent way to cap the uncomfortable ahem-in' and ahaw-in'he got from hypocrite Ensign during the entirety of this rather forced segment.
Still, better than an interview no teeth at all. Wow. I guess our standards for CNN are so intolerably low, we're thrilled when this is the best they can muster. Makes me wonder why we give them any legitimate consideration at all, anymore?

Notice how Ensign keeps shaking his head "no" when he says that he "answered all of those questions" and "I will be exonerated", etc.?
His body language alone says he's lying, never mind his double-talk.

Sanchez gets a B or B minus. He apologized repeatedly for being somewhat persistent on the lobbying issue, which is important. But he left out SO much else: hypocrisy, religiosity, C Street and the Family--where his co-conspirators like Sen Coburn advised him on how to keep the mistress and her betrayed hubby hushed up. Would YOUR mom and dad pay $96,000 to keep your mistress quiet?

Sanchez did appear that he shouldn't have been asking tough questions to a Republican. He felt bad, like he was sorry.

Peter B -
A path is built one stone at a time. I'm just stunned to see any real questions asked of anybody on CNN!
I do note this occurred on New Years Eve which also happened to be a blue moon this year. I suppose the rest of my thought here then likely speaks for itself.

rick sanchez was on msnbc 1-2AM the night after katrina hit...
he took a call from a nurse in a hospital near where the first levee may have breached...
she stated how the water was rising at a rapid rate... 1-2 ft per hour or so...
rick came back and said his producers were chasing it down...
about an hour or so later... rick reported that the army corp of engineers (i think) could not or would not go out until day break... again i'm doing this from memory...
but... msnbc reported as early as 2am tuesday... (katrina made ladnfall very early monday) the levees had breached...
i though rick was a schmck... well... since i dont have cable... looks like i'm living in cave... (i was in a florida hotel that night becuase my building still didn't have power after hurricane rita)
