Seams to me
this country smacked robber barons down once before.....
Maybe its time for sum antitrust suits again.
Sure would feel good to know our American priorities were back in global line.

We just have to accept that in America we live in a capitalist society that requires the survival of the most productive.
WE just have to accept it.
We just HAVE TO accept it.
We just have to ACCEPT it.
--------------------------Like hell we do.

And King George looked down from his plain upon all he had wrought and said, "It is good."; good for who?

I am absolutely sickened by this. I just sent the American Mining Association the following email, to which I expect nothing in reply...
To the National Mining Association president and members–
You fucking assholes! You think building a few golf courses is “payback” enough for poisoning people’s water and food supply? We just have to get “used to it”? What kind of shit is that?
Do YOU live there? Do YOU drink that water? Do your children drink that water that you have polluted? I didn’t think so. But why not, can’t YOU just “get used to it” too? Or is that phrase only for the underprivileged whose lives and health you destroy on a daily basis?
How can you possibly go to bed each night and actually sleep? I guess killing people is just part of the business – eh?
Oh, BTW, here is where I saw your wonderful ad - https://bradblog.com/?p=5056#comments and you should enjoy the films of what you actually do to mountains, rivers and streams, etc. You eco-terrorist, you!

Great job, Alan.
Somewhat related...I had the opportunity to speak with a coal miner while in Utah, one whose mine was five minutes up the road from the Emery County mine disaster site. While his was a union site, apparently the one where the disaster occurred was not. He said there are little, if any, regulations or regulators in place at such mines to keep such a disaster from occurring.
He also agreed that having industry cronies "overseeing" the industry on behalf of the Bush administration was disgraceful.

Seriously, take a look at who was included in blow-your-face-off's secret energy meetings:
http://www.tpmmuckraker....chives/cats/dick_cheney/ and scroll down to Todays Must Read By Spencer Ackerman-July 18, 2007
Then read the WaPo article cited within labeled the " dance card.”
Now, I’ve long wondered why Cheney went all the way to the Supreme Court to keep knowledge of who he discussed the energy policy with a secret, and after 6 long years at war for oil companies, I’d dare say the war and carving up of Middle East’s energy resources was actually discussed. Crap, how long had they been waiting to institute their PNAC agenda? Maybe instead of antitrust we should be looking at conspiracy to take us to war.
Oh yeah, taking the phrase PSAs out of the Iraqi Oil Law but keeping the same multinational oil company deal is a ridiculous attempt at hiding blatant GREED.
