   Am looking at the tree tops. They bend sway, their movement shows the prevailing wind. We now have people turned into robots by fear. They do not honestly reflect the prevailing wind. Standing staunchly in fear pitted against the strong storm of truth which blows about them, they igore for dear life or so they think.

    Cafferty, Olbermann and let’s not forget the great work of Bill Moyers. They are the beacons of our media. They all deserve prime time programs on one of the big three networks. It is a travesty that Cafferty and Olbermann are cable broadcasters, when so much of America only gets the major networks. We need to petition the big three to steel these guys from cable for the health of our democracy. I am often amused at comparison between Jack and Wolfe during the week. When those to are spot lighted together, it is kind of like watching Bush next to any other adult speaker. One is eloquent, the other is lost.

    Quite a while ago, I happened to be listening to Air America on Janeane Garofalo’s last day. I can’t direct you to the show because you have to pay for it, but they made a call to the new manager. The guy is the definition of a jerk. They made some comment that he didn’t like and he started getting real dark. Sort of “do you know who I am” dark. Very strange to hear something like that come out on the radio.

    If you want to hear the best account of what happened to Mike Malloy and Air America radio, listen to the October 19th Bob Kincade show. He has a very good interview with Mr. Malloy.

    Jack is MY man, even though I don’t live in the states…….he calls it like it is…!!! One of these days, he WILL get his own show.

    Thanks to all the other folks out there fighting for democracy……true deomocracy…….no corruption, no voting machine headaches…and accountability from the people elected to represent their constituents.

    Hope you’re right about better days coming. I’m 54 and darn tired of paying taxes here, and still having to fight everything my government does.

    We must be starting to wear them out, but they will do anything for money, so it’s a battle.

    I hear ya brother..!! I’m 62 and was tired of the corruption in our government but we did manage to boot out the Liberals and ended up with a minority. It may not be the perfect solution, but at least the message was delivered by the people….”be careful, you can be replaced if you screw up royally”..!!

    And from what I see, your elected officials have MORE than screwed up royally, especially your commander in chief. He’s so obnoxious……he rewrites the rules as he goes along without going through the necessary channels.

    I usually watch the news room Q & A periods from the White House and something isn’t right. Bush is always parroting on about how the Repugs are going to win in November, yet not one of the news people ever question him about these hackable voting machines.

    Now, surely with all the information out there about this, how come no one brings up the question of why Diebold isn’t being taken to task about their secretive processes and the easiness with which votes can be manipulated to spit out totals favourable to one party, regardless of how the people vote.

    Are the questions from the news people screened beforehand ? I’ve noticed Bush sometimes looking down at what must be a list on the lectern before he calls out the next persons name.

    It wouldn’t surprise me if that IS the case. After all, he does seem to have a hard time with live broadcasts. No wonder he wouldn’t debate with the Iranian president months ago when the invite was issued. He didn’t want to end up looking like a bigger moron than he already is.

    I’m not just playing with words here. We do *not* need a voter verified paper trail. A paper trail isn’t what gets counted or recounted. A ballot is. What we need is a voter verified BALLOT!
