We're lucky that ONE corporation has not been yet corrupted by them.

Well, maybe they are willing to toss out a joke or two that might be perceived to be sympathetic to a liberal audience, but Yelp is not an uncorrupted" corporation, really just the opposite. This is essentially an online protection racket, with hard sell tactics pitched at small businesses, and encourages inflamatory postings just to keep readers attention.
A personal instance is that comments amounting to sexual harrasment are okay by YELP - they are not considered to violate terms of the user agreement.
Read up on YELP's business practices before putting too much of your cheerleading behind this company.
Read about the CEO, then decide if you think he supports the "99%."

Got cite to some of those "sexual harrasment" comments you're alleging? (Not criticizing, nor offering opinion on Yelp either way, but would be interested in seeing the comments you refer to.)

Brad,
Re: the yelp "sexual harassment"
A female professional who I personally deal with was discussed on Yelp. The reviewer felt it was also important to use an acronym that everybody knows tranlates roughly to "Boy, I'd Like to Fuck Her!"
This colors anybody's opinion who reads the review. For example, every time I visit, I think about that review, it is in the consciousness.
What to do? I sent an email complaining about it to Yelp, who did respond, saying that since it reflected the reviewer's opinion of the service, it did not violate the review guidelines. (The professional has nothing to do with fucking or anything that anybody but a fetishist would associate with sex).
I tracked down a phone no. for Yelp customer service, and discussed it with a female representative. She said that it doesn't violate the terms, and therefore, won't be edited. I asked her if she thought it would be a problem if someone posted on a website, her name, work telephone no. and a statement the she is a great fuck, whether she could imagine having any difficulties with that. She wouldn't answer, nor would she give me her name so that I could follow up with a letter to Yelp. Of course, she could be assured I would personally not post her name, telephone no. and a statement that she is potentially a good fuck somewhere on the internet.
What to do? If they aren't going to take it off, I could only do a disservice to the subject of the review by bringing it to her attention. If the office saw it, it could prompt sexual harrasment from coworkers. If she can't have it changed, it would just cause her distress knowing it is there.
Eventually, she will probably see it, if Yelp continues to become more popular. Knowing this person, I just can't imagine it would not cause distress. How many of her clients have this opinion stuck in their mind when they visit her office for the vital professional service she provides?
Maybe I'm a prude, but I am surprised that we are in an age where random people are put up for judgement on fuckability, and their name, potentially their home address, their workplace and telephone no. are all posted up there for anybody to read and comment on.
I won't provide specific info on the particular review, it could only prompt undue attention to the subject from an atmosphere of sexual innuendo.

One jerk isn't going to make much of a difference. Hell, Pat-terrible err Pat-terico was running around his site accusing me of supporting terrorists just to irritate me. Some people are just butt-nuggets.
