Riverside County, CA — under the continuingly incompetent direction of Registrar of Voters Barbara Dunmore, and the extraordinary delinquency of its County Board of Supervisors — continues its never-ending fight to be named top dog as the Worst Place to Vote in America.
There’s a lot of competition out there for that title, but the county performed above and beyond the call of duty over the past several years in that race, and in its quest for disastrousness. Today’s news certainly helps the county stay right up near the top of the pack. Waytago, Riverside!…

You have to be patient for the first 10 seconds as it looks like gouls are doing the newscast. After that, it certainly points out a county that will cut corners by eliminating privacy sleeves (supposedly $45K per election and done for decades until 11/07) but buying $30 million in Sequoia DREs that are now gathering dust. And the Board of Supervisors and the ROV NEVER listen to the citizens – they just do whatever they want regardless of the cost. Eliminating privacy sleeves to save money [is like killing for peace] is like New Hampshire saying how tight-fisted they are by reusing falling-apart cardboard boxes to transport their ballots. God, what idiots we have running our elections all over the place!!
… it is like a contest between dumb and dumber …
I voted by mail in Los Angeles County, CA. My party affiliation is printed along with my name and address on the outside of the return envelope. If it’s going to public info maybe I should start my own party a la Joe Lieberman, “California for Ska-T”.
