Okay, it's after 9 PM here in Tennessee, and I just came in from the porch swing, where I sat wearing SHORTS AND A T-SHIRT..I've had the windows open and fans running all day, while I transplanted flowers from the hanging baskets, put laundry on the line, and rolled up the garden hoses...and now I'm about to go move the kindling box from the shed to the porch because we're expecting snow flurries in the morning.
Go figure.
BRAD! How DARE you have a life outside of this blog!

Hey Judge, #7,
That was pretty cool, but I didn't see my pal Mike Doster, who was BB's bassman for 18 years - didn't hear him either, the bass sounded really square on that one.
Lots of times BBs band gets left out...
Mike's off the road now, working on his music degree - you'd think all that time with The King would get him a degree!
so check out my band - LA blues at:
www.deliciousbluesstew.com
My tune "Star Spangled Lady" is an anti-war tune written 20 years or so back... Can be heard there. Also my "Election Reform" tune is here on Brad's Blog.

Update from FL-24:
You have not heard from us recently because remember the 10 days we thought we had over Thanksgiving to Walk for Democracy...We never received data until this Monday 11/27/2006.
There is great news! From the data that we have been able to pry out of the hands of the election officials (much of the data is yet to be released and it is almost a month after the election), Clint has been able to analyze precincts from Miami-Dade to Pinellas.
Miami-Dade - 12,000 more votes than voters;
District 15 - over 1,400 more votes than voters;
Clint's District 24 (Brevard) - 100 more phantom votes than voters in one Democratic district which caused it to go Republican.
Last weekend, we brought a team of volunteers to Walk for Democracy for a candidate in Pasco Co area. Dave Francis, Clint and Marty, along with Lauren Hallahan, and Tom Lincoln spent a Saturday knocking on doors, petting dogs and listening to constituents. With a few more hours of effort, it was proven that the official results were off by 20% giving the Democrat the precinct!
This Monday we at last received enough data to begin walking for Clint in Brevard. Loretta Fernandez, Tracy Williams, Gray Boot, Wayne Wiggins, Mark Oddi , Susan Coyle, Clint and Marty have been Walking for Democracy in the Titusville area. We have been successful in getting people to sign the affidavit telling who they voted for Governor, Congress and on Amendment 3. Almost everywhere we have gone we have been thanked for our efforts and concern about making sure their vote gets counted, offered pie and cookies and shared lots of political ideas. We even got one person to volunteer to help!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE YOUR MARK ON HISTORY!
The results from your efforts could be a recall or a new election. Best of all it could help bring about a more permanent solution for getting rid of the flawed electoral system! Clint has been fighting for free and fair elections for over five years. NOW he has the opportunity to MAKE IT HAPPEN!
In one Precinct we have started, Clint is looking good! We have more votes to find to put us over the top. We will be walking this Saturday in the Titusville area from 10:00 AM till 5:00. Come join us for as long or short as you like. Contact Marty 954-732-1112 or marty@go-nci.com . Let her know what time you would like to meet her at K-Mart on Rt 50.
Volusia is the next county to be walked with Orange and Seminole as soon as we have data. The data that we are gathering will be presented to Congress in January to restore Democracy. So let me know you are ready to WALK FOR DEMOCRACY.
marty@go-nci.com.
Or if you are out of state and would like to be a part, please contribute at www.clintcurtis.com.
With YOU on the team, we can do it!

I wonder if Newt is already trying to censor Olbermann. I have Comcast cable and MSNBC was having a bad digital feed all day. All the other channels were fine.
Newt isn't even in government anymore is he? Why does anyone take him seriously anymore. This guy is the biggest threat to democracy and should be locked up. This is just an outrage!

The "democracy" preznit blush brought to Iraq hates the press, just like The Dick and The Preznit Blush do:
Meanwhile, Iraq's Interior Ministry also said Thursday it had formed a special unit to monitor news coverage and vowed to take legal action against journalists who failed to correct stories the ministry deemed to be incorrect.
Link here. I wish that The Dick and Preznit Blush would move to Baghdad so they could govern the way they want to, so they would not be so confilicted in their souls. They lie 24/7 and everyone here knows it. There they would not be bothered with lying. They could just torture and dictate at will like those they have put into power ... their surrogates.
And according to John Dean, the residue of the rubber stamp congress is having a hissy fit:
Rumblings on Capitol Hill suggest that Republicans may literally be "out of control" as the minority party. Many Republicans in Congress are upset that they will lose their perks, and they want to punish the Democrats for winning. In addition, the White House believes its conservative base wants it to make life difficult for the Democrat Congress, so they will assist in doing just that.
Link here. I think the "6 or 7" will have many opportunities to back the investigations of Cheney (The Dick) and Bush (Preznit Blush).
It looks like a really bloggy year folks.

How about Christmas shopping? Do you think the economy is tanking? Let's check the sales statistics. Wal-Mart isn't doing too well.
The first reports, I noticed, said vague terms like "off to a good start" (not RECORD start or BETTER THAN LAST YEAR)...
Well, we'll see.
Myself? There is noticeably LESS cars in the shopping store parking lots. I've noticed it, my wife noticed it, everyone I talk to has noticed it.

In my car at lunch, while we speak, the on-the-hour CNN condensed cut-in of today's news, they said, "Caleron was sworn in as Mexican presiden...there were some hecklers."
If you're riding around today and listening to AM radio with those cut-ins on the hour, you will hear it.
Here's what really is happening:
http://www.democracynow.....pl?sid=06/12/01/1456203
There were fist-fights in the Mexican congress between pro-Calderon vs. pro-Obrador, where people had to be carried out of their contress, there are thousands of people protesting in the streets of Oaxaca, Caleron had to be sworn in privately at midnight, the U.S. contingent supposed to go there today for the official swearing in probably is not coming because of the unrest...opposition lawmakers vow to block official inauguration...they are actually making paths hours ahead of time for Calderon to walk through unmolested!!!!!!!!!
"...THERE WERE SOME HECKLERS????????????????????"
THERE'S A F***CING REVOLUTION GOING ON IN MEXICO, YOU WOULDN'T KNOW IT, IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE LINK-TV AND FREE SPEECH TV!!!!!!!
Keep watching CNN/ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX corporate news, where "Calderon was sworn in...there were some hecklers"...

The brokers and investment bankers… or maybe I should just call them "The Money Changers"… all amuse me. For years they moved the "market" on Wal-Mart numbers that were always double or single digit increases.
Now, they ignore Wal-Mart's negative numbers and the "Money Changers" move the market on increases from "Ted's Donut Shop, Harvey's Gag, Grab & Bag fast food or Leroy's Department store chain. The Fed, GW Bush's cronies and the elite owned USA media all say inflation is under control and the economy is great! Yet, we have $3 gallon gas, milk and $10 a gallon coffee/tea. Utilities, college, car, housing, food, healthcare costs are out of sight and still rising. The average workers wages and benefits are decreasing. Layoffs at major US corporations are increasing at an alarming rate yet unemployment is still 5.3%?
That's the first big lie as unemployment is actually over 8.3%. Yes, our federal government lied to us. They have cooked the books on GDP, inflation, employment and other economic numbers.
I've got news for Wall Streets Money Changers… "Wal-Mart is the economy". If Wal-Marts numbers are negative America has started a full-blown recession.
The market is a pyramid scheme built by and for the "elite" to make billions and leave the average stockholder… holding the bag.
Head for the exit folks!

Also, how many people, of the MUCH LESS people, shopping on Black Friday weekend, ONLY DID SO FOR THE RIDICULOUS 50% OFF EARLY SALES...AND THEN WENT HOME, BUYING ONLY THE THING THAT WAS 50% OFF????????
Are they telling us THAT statistic? How much LOWER were average purchases-per-customer??????? What if last year, the average Black Friday purchase was $400...and this year it's $50??????

Again, in retail the only numbers that matter are Wal-Mart/Sam's followed by a distant... very, very distant Costco, Target, BestBuy and a couple of department store chains.
Here's another interesting fact. The elite top 10% of our population controls over 50% of the total income made in the USA. I believe the top 5% controls over 40% of that amount.
The elitist grand plan for the other 90% of the US population is manipulate, gouge, screw, steal, overtax, underpay, takeaway benefits and outsource American jobs to 3rd world countries all while continuing to ask Americans to refinance homes, buy cars and spend, spend, spend. As Kissinger once said our military 'are just pack animals'…. and the rest of us just fodder for the elitist grand schemes.
Mexico, what a country! Our dear Hispanic friends truly care about their Democracy and have the strength to lead ... they have started to revolt against their elitist handlers and moneychangers.
The question is when will American's follow their lead?

Don't get me started about late fees, JOJ!!! They are probably illegal, if anyone ever challenged them.
And then, when you're late, they raise your rate from say 10% to 26%...BUT THAT INCLUDES RAISING IT TO 26% ON ITEMS IN YOUR BALANCE YOU PREVIOUSLY BOUGHT...NOT JUST SINCE THE LATE PAYMENT! Ever think of that??? When they raise your rate, it's on the ENTIRE EXISTING BALANCE...even of things you may have bought YEARS ago!!! It's a huge retroacive fine!!! The only way to get rid of it, is to pay off the entire balance, which you can't!

BINGO! It wasn't hard for anybody to predict that giving credit card companies unlimited power to milk their customers would result in lower sales. (well, not for little old me or you anyway)!
In a way it's a good thing, because Americans need to par down their consumerism, but the really heinous thing is that we haven't gradually restructured our society to cope with these changes.
Al Gore would have started to make those changes and had always said he wanted to "wean us off our dependence on oil", but, of course, he was considered to be to "stuffy". We needed a down to earth cowboy.
Speaking of cowboy's, maybe Biden could go to Iraq and get a horse to herd the Sunni's and Shiite's into the specific territories he's going to designate. Biden, you're an idiot and so are Baker and Hamilton. Go craze in fields of ignorance and let us try to salvage our country!

Larry: The credit card companies probably made more $$$ BEFORE that law! We love irony...here on the Brad Blog...
They probably made WAY more money, is anyone keeping stats of this? Probably the stats say this, so they're not telling us...
Also? Research proved that most people were NOT bilking the system...they had legitimate job loss and/or medical crisis. It happened to ME!!!
It was FALSE...when they said the reason was that too many people were bilking the system...of course, we knew that. And we knew most people claimed bankruptcy for legitimate reasons.
But corporations claim bankruptcy for millions and billions, but they go after the little guy who can't pay $19,000 in credit cards because he lost his job and his wife has breast cancer!
I'll bet people are afraid to run up their credit cards, Larry, just like you point out...due to that new law.
Merry F***ing Christmas!!!
Notice, everything always evens out and/or backfires on them??? The GOP stealing elections on e-vote machines caused a huge anti-GOP backlash that otherwise could not have happened.
Wasn't that a Seinfeld episode, where George kept saying that everything always evens out?

I've been lucky enough not to have had to ever declare bankruptcy, so I'm not an expert, but wouldn't it take a couple of lifetimes to do it four times?
It's just another "welfare queen" or "farmers not getting an inheritance losing the farm" STORY, (that never happened)! There's nothing I hate worse then a lier. When Orrin tells a whopper, it's got cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, and pickles!

A friend of mine stays on top of credit card interest rates and balance transfer fees. This guy once carried cards with collective balances of over $30,000 and never, never paid a bit of interest or additional charges.
He just watched the credit card fee's and interest rates. Then transferred balances from one card to another with "0" transfer fees and/or interest rates for 6 mos., 1 year or on all transferred balances. He paid all new charges in full monthly and then paid down the old-transferred balances.
A very slick interest free deal that he ran for almost 10 years. The balances are now down to "0"…. paid off . He now pays all balances in full monthly.
Today his credit rating is A+ and his line of credit on a couple of cards is now $25,000.

what a hell of a place for a no questions asked 25th birthday party. Living large 24/7 without concern for any repercussions - only to be - if you are a member of the carefree and well connected bu$$$$$h clan.

Jen and Barb, upon their return state side have a delectable menu of foods to choose during the various White House holiday receptions, by Christmas time the number of lost soldiers in Iraq will have surpassed the 3,000 count.
Kellogg/Brown/Root/Halliburton/Carlyle Group/ the oil company barons, the bu$$hco clan and their billionaire buddies have all given themselves a special extra large Xmas financial bonus, life gets no grander than this.

What the hell can we do to hold the government immediatly accountable (in a feedback loop kind of way) for obscuring, printing deception, lieing, or just plain wrong information. a.) Needs to be faster b.) it needs to be on BROADCAST SPECTRUM.
Some ACRONYM IDEAS of Citizen oversight.
C.O.S.T. (Citizen Oversight of State/Senate/Secretary Tricks)
ANTI-FOG Americans Nationally Telling Information FASTFeedback On Government)
FOGHORN Fast Oversight Government Held On Record Now
I don't know. It' pisses me off when I hear someone asked this or that Agency or Secretary of State, for information and then the Agency or SOS pass's the deadline without the information REQUIRED BY LAW, or LIES ABOUT IT, or Publishes CRAP on their website.
It needs to be Corrected, Immediately, and the Feedback loop needs to be LIGHT SPEED, and the responsible held accountable, and PUNISHED AUTOMATICALLY. AND the BROADCAST SPECTRUM INTERRUPTED, and FORCED to run this information. Needs to be a god damn SIMULCAST/BROADCAST TRUTH CHANNEL. It ain't like we don't got the spectrum!!!!!!!
I am just so sick of all this crap. Sick Sick Sick Sick Sick!

We need a Department Of Defence / Military Protection of the CONSTITUTION Oversight Agency.
Something that CUTS THROUGH RED TAPE and RESTORES unconstitutional laws. If our Senators and House folks are so fucking retarded they do not understand the Constitution then the MILITARY WHO SWORE AN OATH WILL FIX IT FOR THEM.
This would allow the Military, to seek and destroy unconstitutional electronic voting machines.
It would allow bad legislation to be rolled back, instead of suffering for years and years, until a trial with jurors rolls back the law by exercising their powers to say, "The Law is bad, The Parties are Innocent. Roll the Law back, Send A message that we will not put up with this fucking shit."
