Palm Beachers are fighting to keep Starbucks out. They worry it will attract the "wrong" type of people to their perfect little island. Yet they let in trash like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh. Go figure.

Coulter can't cooperate because she is in a terrible Catch-22.
If she declares herself living at one address, she gets prosecuted for Florida Voter Fraud. But if she declares the other address, she gets prosecuted for Florida Tax Fraud.
By doing nothing, she leaves herself open to being prosecuted for both frauds.
Ann Coulter, what a fraud! Perhaps the Bushes have some room for her on their newly acquired Venezuelan plantation for treasonous fugitives.
Ann better hurry up and place his reservation, I hear they are almost booked up!

Now, this does not bode too well, don't you think, considering Worldcom and so on...
:-)
SCNR, just kidding, with a name like this in such a position, i guess the poor man gets that kind of jokes every day, he should pronounce his name "Andersooooon"

Hehe Martin! I did a double-take when I read that name, too & was actually thinking, "well, that won't go anywhere with Arthur Andersen cookin' the books."
Ann Coulter? Refusing a probe? Will wonders never cease?
I hope those felony charges stick - nobody deserves it more. It will be Priceless.

Is that THE Kira in comment #9? If so, where have you been???? Great to see you here in any case. All of us longtime Bradbloggers know Kira as one of the most prolific and informative commenters this blog has seen. Probably figured you'd posted enough info. here to last a few years and took a sabatical. Perhaps you're still on it. If so, you deserve it!

Hi Steve, one of my treasured friends from Bradblog!
Yes, it is indeed Moi. Hey, what a nice compliment  thanks
And yes, I was exhausted from the war. I was plugged into the computer for at least 1 1/2 years day in, day out & nights too. I quit because I couldn't comprehend what I was reading anymore & my posts stopped making sense. Too much, too much!!
I know we all did a heckuva lot more & much harder work than shrub.
I'll drop you an email!
Later,
Kira

It's been far too long since we all chatted on BB and alot of sewer has flowed under the bridge since then, to the extent that its hard maintaining that spark of optimism in these dark Medaeval Times.
And Steve, I fully endorse your comments regarding KIRA!

Kira has also been one of the nicest people I've seen on here, she always has kind words. Glad you're doing good. Those were nice words, Steve, and I agree with everyone of them.
I am relieved to see I am not the only one to "overload" and "withdraw" from all the constant corrupt, horrible, non-stop crapola this administration so blatently gets away with. I still read, but I quit posting. I also withdrew and we can't give in though, Kira, we have to rejoin the fight for our survival. My son spent a year in Iraq and may never again be close to the same human being I raised. Yes, he is "alive" - but I lost my son in Iraq too. I've been having a lot of problems dealing with that. My sadness is now turning to anger and determination and I'm ready to rejoin the fight for our country again.
Brad, if you ever need me to transcribe anything, please let me know, I would be happy to help. You continue to amaze us with news.
Seeing Ann squirm is great, now we just need to see someone hold her accountable for both crimes and punished. Odds? Not very high, but we can hope.

Get that b*tch. She has been an apologist for a gov't that rountinely violates our Constitutional rights.
They violate the 1st Amendment by caging demonstrators and banning books like "America Deceived" from Amazon.
They violate the 2nd Amendment by confiscating guns during Katrina.
They violate the 4th Amendment by conducting warrant-less wiretaps.
They violate the 5th and 6th Amendment by suspending habeas corpus.
They violate the 8th Amendment by torturing.
The violate the entire Constitution by starting 2 illegal wars based on lies and on behalf of a foriegn gov't.
Support indy media.
Last link (unless Google Books caves to the gov't and drops the title):

When this investigation started I must admit I doubted it would ever see a courtroom. Now it seems to be happening. Wow!
If she votes in several states does that make it a federal issue?
"...Coulter refusing a probe..." That's hilarious.

Kira-
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I got booted off the computer by my daughter last night and my laptop is giving me grief. Your presence here last night seems to have brought a few other Bradblog "oldtimers" back onto these pages as well. So, hello Bushw@cker, hello to A Concerned Citizen, hello to Joan (even though your posts do pop up here and there, I've missed you) and hello to any other Bradblog "oldtimers" out there who I am failing to identify. I saw a post from NANA in the past few days, as well.
Letting yourself sink into the slimy, oozing muck of the democracy stealing political corruption revealed in these pages (and elsewhere) does leave you feeling like you're sinking in quicksand. Sometimes we all need to pull out of it, take a shower and recharge our batteries. But now is the time we all need to push hard for the midterms and then sit back (figuratively speaking, because we may need to take action in the aftermath of this election) and see if our election system is as bad and corrupted as we here fear it is. I really feel this election is a referendum on our democracy. If the Democrats (despite how uninspiring that party has become) don't win back at least one house of Congress and restore some checks and balances (and try to fix our hopeless voting system) then I truly feel we have lost our democracy. Whether it be by election corruption (likely) or because there are actually still enough idiots out there to legitimately (doubtful) overcome the greater mass of apathetic but obviously dissatisfied voters and allow Republicans to maintain their death grip on power, a failure of Democrats to retake at least one House will probably put the proverbial final nail in the coffin of the democracy our ancestors worked so hard to build. That will leave me even more depressed than 2004, and that's saying something.
I'm going to make calls for Debra Bowen's campaign, despite my aversion to the telephone. We should all step a little beyond our normal comfort zone in the next few days and do something, anything that may help elect some people who really can make a difference and, hopefully, start turning back the tidal wave of deceipt, corruption and destruction that has swept over this once great country in the past several years.

Bushw@cker! I'm so glad to see ya, mate. You got the description right --- there is, indeed, lots of sewage oozing from our Broken Government & it stinks to high heaven.
It's comforting to see all my treasured friends here! You guys are too kind. I'm sure I learned more from all of you than you could possibly have learned from me. It's a good village here. Whatever happens, we at least know we tried.
Concerned Citizen, I pray your son will be able to heal soon. It will take time and a lot of love & support from his family & friends. I send my prayers for you & your son, his family & friends to be blessed with healing and comfort. There are hundreds of vets who need our prayers. Being involved in a war sold to the American & British people as honorable that turns out to be nothing but a pack of lies is damaging to the emotional & mental health of us all. The soldiers have even more needs. The radical right-wing neocon elitists will have to answer to a higher court one day - the sooner the better - but it is assured eventually.
Wow! I'm so glad to "see" y'all. Just a quick list: Unirealist, Joan, Roger, Larry Bergan, Nana, Steve, Floridiot, Bushw@cker, Concerned Citizen, MMIIXX (on another thread), Big Dan, Dan, Ben Burch, Judge of Judges, Spellchecker, Chabuka, Mark H., Agent 99, Winter Patriot - and all the rest who make up our village plus those I'm meeting for the first time, and of course Brad. Seriously Big Group Hugs All Around!! [Anybody I left out, it was unintentional ... it's a huge group when you think about it
Steve, I'm committed to making some of those phone calls for a candidate in my district. I hate doing it too. Bite the bullet, eh?
ScribesUnlimited #21 - won't it be great if she does rack up a few more felonies ??!! Coulter epitomizes the [oxymoron] "moral majority" party.

It's entirely pathetic how so many of you on here would love to see Coulter locked up. So what if you don't agree with her, or simply don't like her, what makes it right for someone to be locked up simply for political reasons? If you can't see that this is all politically motivated, then true ignorance prevails.

I listed a number of possible cases that would send Ann Coulter to jail.
Her current voter fraud case in Palm beach, Florida.
A financial crime (fraud, scam, embezzlement).
Gambling.
Illegal weapons possession/usage.
Physical assult charge (probably a security guard, cameraman, or reporter).
Drug abuse charge, including DUI (looks like Rush Limbaugh can enjoy some company).
Death threat against a prominent political leader.
Hate speech that violates a hate crime law.
Looks like the voter fraud case will be the case that does it.

Making it possible for someone to be locked up simply for political reasons is exactly what Bush just did in the last couple of bills he signed. Locked up with no represention, locked up for as long as they like, locked up without ever having a trial.

That's been my point from the git, but it isn't just famous people. It's anyone who is being or has been stalked, or is hiding from an abusive spouse, anyone who means them harm. Since voter registration is public, that is the first place people go to track you down. If you want to have a life, and vote, you're pretty well forced to play these games.

Like most good republicans in positions of power,
MannCoulter just knew that a silly thing like the Law,
or the Truth, was beneath her. Those things are for
common democratic rabble, and not MegaChurch Sanctified
Christians such as "herself".
One must admit, Mann was silent during the election
cycle, thank the Gods. Her writings and blatherings
induce vomiting in decent people.
She is "hated" by millions, not for the truth she
speaks. But for the downright crucifiction of the
truth. The days of the Limbaugh/Hannity/Coulter style
hate mongering Axis of Evil are coming to an end.
They are a total disgrace to our nation and people.
