The endorsement from Esquire magazine is short and sweet, and is now added to the list — along with the Daytona Beach News-Journal’s endorsement of publications supporting Clint Curtis over the corrupt Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Abramoff) in Florida’s 24th U.S. House Congressional District:

The congressman’s golf vacation to Scotland with lobbyist Jack Abramoff in 2003 (all expenses paid!), about which he lied, should cost him his job.

So much for Feeney’s discredited attempts to sell the idea that Curtis is “not fit for Congress.” Looks like the nation’s newspapers and magazines seem to think it’s Feeney who’s not fit for the post.
And the voters, in yesterday’s Zogby poll showing Curtis and Feeney in a “virtual toss-up,” would seem to agree. Notable numbers, if only because Curtis has had almost zero money to use in his campaign while Feeney has had more than $1 million.
(Donate to Curtis here if you’d like to help — unlike Feeney, Curtis is currently getting no money from either the national party or huge corporate PACs.)
In the meantime, the Curtis campaign has just released two new one-minute radio spots. They’re both linked below. In the first one, he challenges Feeney to a public polygraph test for the both of them. (Clint has already passed one himself in re: his allegations about Feeney.)

That poll is even better news than advertised. That’s not a dead heat — you may well be winning!
I’m a professional pollster and let me give you a polling insider’s tip about how to interpret a poll like this one. You are running against an incumbent whom I assume has fairly wideapread name recognition. Races involving a well known incumbent are basically referenda on the incumbent. In these kind of races, undecideds will normally break overwhelmingly to the challenger. This means the key number is the incumbent’s number and the relationship of that number to 50%. Since well known incumbents will not pick up many of the undecideds, whatever their number is in the trial heat is basically all they’re going to get. Your number, on the other hand, is actually understated because you will pick up most of the undecideds.
The bottom line is that Feeney being 5 points under 50% means he is in serious trouble and you are arguably winning this race!
I will never forget Feeney’s despicable role in the 2000 election when he threatened to subvert democracy by imposing his personal will over that of the citizens of Florida and, by extension, the country as a whole.

Let us know when Clint pulls ahead by >50%, Brad…a nice indictment against Feeney between now and Nov. 7th wouldn’t hurt. The odds are high it may happen, to the “most corrupt congressman”…

Endorsements will not matter. Why does eveyone think this year will be different? They already stole 2 presidential elections (wide scale fraud). You really think they cannot steal House elections (small scale fraud). This is the same group that managed to legalize warrantless wiretaps, suspend habeas corpus, ban books like “America Deceived” from Amazon, detain demonstrators and start 2 illegal wars based on lies. The Republicans will probably lose a few seats to make it look good but maintain a majority. Then they’ll invade Iran on behalf of Israel.

I dont think people believe it will be different at least those of us that believe they are stealing elections. For me the point is to make them steal it, not give it away, have such a lead in the poles and high voter turnout that its obvious they stole it. People are finally catching onto this, Lets give them a show.

It can certainly increase traffic if we all do it often. Its a bit confusing (for me anyway). Bite me Julie…you have no clue what’s really going on here. I am sick to my stomach over this stuff. I just know how the “system” works here in Central FLorida. I just finished walking my precinct for Clint. You need to take a valium….or you probably already take too many. You don’t know me, you never have and why you choose to attack one of the few people who actually get out and SWEAT for Clint Curtis is beyond me. If Clint gets beat I will be a mockery here in my own Oviedo neighborhood so I’d appreciate it if you’d take your skepticism and stuff it until November 7th….then, when Clint wins I’ll be dancing a jib in downtown Oviedo!
