It sounds like they might have to go beyond just asking what party they are affiliated with to determine their PNACishness when whistleblowers like Russell Tice and Scott Ritter have been Republicans. Heck, even Sibel Edmonds' husband was a Republican. Not sure about her party.

"according to intelligence officials, the White House has recently been asking the CIA questions"
That sounds like an investigation to me - what's up with that "I won't comment on an ongoing investigation" Scotty?

Eric
If Snottie were inclined to tell the truth when answering your question, he would have said "Eric, does a bear shit in the woods?"
Instead, in showing the new guy how to do a Snow Job, he set an example.
I bet Snottie's mom is so proud of him she wants him to get on down to Texas and be an "Independent".

Well, this is a big duh anyhow. Totally in character. Who now would think for a minute these criminals would do anything else? They're seeing that real Americans won't stay silent about their crimes, and they need to purge them, and smear them, in order to continue.
The McClellatron can only regurgitate his programming, and Snow will only make it sound wittier. Doesn't matter who's being asked as much as it matters WHAT is being asked, by how many, and how loudly.

Yeah, all them unemployment figures are a bunch of hooey anyway, if you took the discouraged workers and the people that are under employed, those real figures would be around 20%, more puke spin again
Kinda like Reagan upping the school lunch nutritional values by counting Ketchup as a vegetable

Scottie is a "lame duck" press secretary. That means he hears no evil, sees no evil, knows no evil.
As a matter of fact, that's the way he was before he became a lame duck. Sort of a stupid duck, or a lame goose.

This is part of the Republican strategy to have a permanent Republican majority. But, as usual, it's good on paper, not in reality...like the PNAC's Iraq War. This will cause a backlash, when Dems get the majority, they will be forced to undo all of this...as opposed to previously being fair and not asking affiliations. IE, the GOP is AGAIN causing a big backlash against them, like the e-vote machine election thefts. The more they steal elections, the more they are causing a decades-long backlash of GOP hatred by the American public. See Bush's soon-to-be 29% rating.
Exactly what they are doing, is illegally holding onto power too long, causing an inevitably larger backlash that couldn't be as large under conventionally played politics. It's going to be the hugest anti-GOP backlash in the history of the United States...caused by George W. Bush, Cheney, and their cabinet, and e-vote operatives.

I think this is very fishy: FSTV (Free Speech TV) is having a successful fund drive, and they are presently "experiencing difficulties" and are not on the air. Very, very fishy...

Big Dan - they come here to divert our attention and spread disinformation to any happenstance new-comers. The psychology is that anyone with an "as yet innocent mind" will see dissention among the opinions and track off to a place where "everyone thinks the same." Not to mention getting some of us (me included) to become angry with the disinformation and therefore express actual anger. I dont' think anger is accepted as a genuine emotion in their circles. Perhaps not love or sadness either. They cannot even be angry with Bush for chrissake. Or at least not unless he tells them too. Lockstep.

Sorry, OT still, this from AMERICAblog:
"Sen. Elizabeth Dole, chairwoman of the Republican Senate campaign committee, issued a statement that said, 'Democrats have decided to play partisan politics with gas prices in a flailing attempt to distract from the growing economy.'"
Now I see where Ball-less Paul comes from - he just gets the same disinformation emails that are sent to most of the defense contractors, etc. etc.

Clinton inherited a 7.3% unemployment rate, and left a 3.9% unemployment rate. GW inherited Clinton's 3.9% unemployment rate, and got it up to 5.7% by the end of his first year, then averaged about 6.0% for the next several years, and RECENTLY it went down to 4.7%, still far above the 3.9% Clinton left him.
Click below; click on the first little green dinosaur under "Latest Numbers", change the date range "from 1992" "to 2006" or present, to compare the facts Clinton vs. GW.
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
Clinton averaged per month, the amount of jobs created by GW every 2 years.
Furthermore, check out this Clinton vs. GW economic facts comparison, someting Paul & the misleading f***nuts don't like: FACTS:

Some answers to Banned Paul:
The unemployment rate in Ohio is 5.3%, not 4.7%. Eight counties have unemployment rates over 8%, and Monroe Co. is at 11.3%
The Dow was at 3200 when Clinton took office; it was at 10,945 when Bush took office.
When Clinton took over, he INHERITED a recession from Papa Bush. The poverty rate fell every year Clinton was in office. It has risen every year since Georgie Boy took over.
That's a funny story about Air America. Can't figure out why they keep expanding their markets if their losing so much money. I listen every day.
Paul, your Republican talking points just won't hold water here.

Anyone notice, wingnut misinformation is soaring on progressive blogs lately? That's because it's easy to just post lies, and no one calls them on it. That's why I dispute them. Because the MSM does not dispute the lies, but in fact, gives them a forum and doesn't challenge their lies. Brad should absolutely delete rightwing misinformation. It is all over the place. DELETE IT!!! No one else is.

Notice that McClellan said, "I know nothing about THAT REPORT. Maybe I missed it...". (meaning the Washington Post report).
He carefully did NOT say he knew nothing about the WhiteHouse grilling CIA agents re political affiliations. He just said he didn't read or know about the Wash Post report. Isn't it pitiful that that kind of answer is acceptable these days?
Remember when Clinton got us into a discussion of just what exactly IS sexual relations?
"I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman"!
I guess he just had it with "that woman's " dress.
Anyway, my boys were younger at the time of Clinton but the older one said to me one day when I caught him stretching the truth--well, the President of the United States lies, so why can't I?

Here is where they manipulate the unemployment figures, "Wharton School attracts clients such as the U.S. Department of Labor, which teaches how to produce *cooked* statistics at the "Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates Incorporated". This method was very much in demand as we came to the close of 1991 with **millions more** out
of work than was reflected in USDL statistics."

You wouldn't recognize truth if it was shoved up your butt. Believe and spread all the lies you want. People with their eyes wide open, like the ones here, see you for what you really are, brainwashed robots that can't think for themselves. If Bush was so great at leadership, why has he failed at every endeavor he's ever undertaken? Because he hasn't got a brain, that's why. He's a puppet just like you. The only reason he is where he is? His name and father's contacts and influence. If his name was Joe Smith, he'd be sweeping floors at Wal-Mart. Or homeless.

You stink, Ricky. You suck, and you're drinking the Kook Aid, and your opinions have no basis in reality, and have no integrity, and you don't admit to facts, so there's no debating you (and Paul). You're an idiot.

Look at our leaders who die from lone gun men or plane crash. There is something really big going on here. Call it Karma. We are killing the people in Iraq for what we want to steal..same as American Indian.

Did everybody here see the Robert Greenwald DVD "The Truth About The War In Iraq". There has been a virtual army of public servants willing to risk everything for a long time!
It kills me when people compare this terrifying debacle to Nixon. To quote Molly from comment #34 and an awkward host of a weekly variety show from that era, there is indeed something "REALLY BIG" going on here, and it has nothing to do with a shoe!
They have been so good at destroying liberal culture, that we're living on the reservation in our own homes!
