Whoops…Yesterday (Wednesday, January 24th) was The BRAD BLOG’s 2nd Anniversary! And I was too busy to notice.
Oh, well. What a long, strange — very strange — trip it’s been.
From our very first blog item…to…wherever the hell the world has turned now.
I’d wax more poetically, except that two years in and up since lord knows when this morning and I couldn’t be more exhausted. Or could I? Ask me next year around this time if we’re still at it.
In the meantime, feel free to leave a Happy Anniversary Gift in the Tip Jar, if you’re so inclined. We could still, even after two years, use it! Otherwise, Open Thread here to your heart’s content to celebrate! While I sleep.

This made me think "Who are the original bloggers", "Who did the first post", "What was the first subject matter".
I have been posting here for two years but I was not of the first crew … Peg C, Peggy, Sherry, WP, and some others were here before me.
I was one of the first to use the smilies and some other HTML things (and the first to misuse the flashing light … only Brad can use that), and I teased the bloggers and they hounded me to tell them how I underlined, posted smileys , did bold, italics, and other little tricks like CENTER TEXT and even post images … And lets not forget stroking the trolls Or that "Attorney Jimmo" was the first troll I remember.
I remember how agitated Sherry became when I lead them on and teased them and would not tell them how to do those things … and finally under extreme pressure I had to cut loose with the goods … and the resultant flood of smiley art and the like that proliferated on Brad blog for a long time after that.
It was and still is great fun.
Heres to another two years of crying, whining and complaining as your party goes the drain!
I first came to this site when you were showing pictures of mailboxes. I thought what the heck is this I am so happy to see your hard work has resulted in "hopefully" getting rid of Diebold.
Congratulations on two years of the best investigative work and the best blog, in my opinion.
Dredd it took me "only" one whole year to figure out how to link.
I’ve been around here for close to a year and a half now and have watch it grow from a few regulars to where it seems someone new joins in daily.

Thanks you Brad and Congratulations…I wandered in here in August of ’05 while following Cindy, when I made my first post I was ecstatic…you made it so easy for a person like me with little computer experience. I thought all blogs would be like yours and then had to learn how to ‘register’ to post on other sites. Thank you for making my experience in the blogoshere so positive. This is my first and favorite site. I also want to thank all of the posters here for the information, insight, and help I have gotten, and still get. I still don’t know how to link, but just trying to keep up on the news has me going 24/7. Bless you all. M4

Brad, you are an inspiration. You go so far above and beyond that it’s amazing. I get to the point often anymore where I burn out and realize how depressed I am about all the dishonesty, corruption, hopelessness of our future and I back off from it. I’ve been in such a spell just recently, which is why I haven’t been posting much. It’s really all overwhelming. I don’t know how you keep it going, my hat is off to you, thank you.
In the months I’ve been here, my view is you bring the facts to the table like nobody else and you have the passion and intelligence to relay those facts in a way that is admirable. You stay focused and keep your cool. The wrongdoings are endless, but the voting issue is the biggie. If we are somehow afforded removal of Diebold in time, you will be a national hero this November! You have done more than anyone on that issue and would deserve more credit than anyone else I can possibly think of, no lie. I sure hope we can be saved in time. We’d have to play with your name and make it "FreedMen[and women] Day" (I know, don’t quit my day job).

Since beginning to frequent this Blog I have learned alot and continue to every day. I’ve had a feeling in the gut of my stomach for a long time that there is more down the rabbit hole and we are almost at the bottom and everyone here owes a debt of gratitude to you for continuing to press on the important issues. (Even Paul and Ricky owe you, otherwise they would have nowhere to test their new material.)
Stick to your guns and if you ever have to hide from the CIA my couch is open for you! 🙂
