CARTOON NO. 1–A PENTHOUSE PATRIOT

Members of my family have served in every branch of the Armed Forces, including the Coast Guard, although we are predominantly Army, as is the case with yours truly. So maybe that has colored my thinking.

In the good old days, David, Alexander, Scipio, Arthur, Henry V, Napoleon, and Washington were in the field with their troops, a place where the gentleman from New York will never be found. For as we used to say in my old neighborhood, “He is the type of guy that will fight to the last drop of your blood.”
