'BradCast' 10/6/2023 (Encore: WGA strikers win 'exceptional' deal; Biden to rally with striking autoworkers)

10-06-2023 (52.98 MB)

On today's 'BradCast': After decades of corporate policies that have drastically eroded union membership, political power, and the middle class across the U.S., organized labor is finally making new gains for workers to attain a fair share of the record profits made by giant corporations. After a five-month strike, the Writers Guild of America says it has reached a tentative agreement with studios to increase wages with 'meaningful gains and protections.' The actors' union, SAG-AFTRA, remains on strike. President Biden will join striking United Autoworkers union members on the picket line in Detroit, a first in U.S. history. Republican 2024 front-runner Donald Trump will meet with NON-union auto workers in a very Republican Michigan suburb. Callers weigh in with thoughtful comments on organized labor, the struggling middle class, and the surge of workers fighting like hell for better wages amid record corporate profits.
