'BradCast' 10/5/2020 ('At This Point, For This President, Death Would Be Too Good')

10-05-2020 (53.63 MB)

On today's 'BradCast:  Donald Trump has tested positive for COVID-19, upending the 2020 election and casting doubt on whether the Republican-controlled Senate can still ram through Trump's nominee to fill the US Supreme Court seat left vacant by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It appears that Trump has helped infect a least a dozen other high-profile officials in both the White House and U.S. Senate, and also put the Secret Service and White House staff at risk.  After being hospitalized over the weekend, where he enjoyed many days in a row of free, tax-payer funded healthcare (for which he often paid no federal income taxes at all), Trump headed back to the White House on Monday.  We cover the ongoing questions about the seriousness of the President's condition, and the lies, obfuscation, and evasion from Trump's White House physician that have raised many more questions than he answered.  How many more Americans will Donald Trump sicken before his disastrous tenure as President is brought to an end? How will all of this affect the remaining two scheduled presidential debates, and the Presidential election, with early voting already underway?  Will any of this serve to slow down or block Senate Republicans from holding confirmation hearings, now that at least three GOP Senators have contracted the virus? Callers weigh in on all of the above...
