Once again, corporate media fell for a Trump Trap. This time, giving free live coverage to his new hotel opening and endorsements from some members of the military, as the Republican nominee ultimately offered lies about his years-long 'birther' claim, which attempted to de-legitimize President Obama as an American, and all other African-Americans along with it. That same de-legitimization effort is at work by Republicans around the country attempting to keep certain voters (Democratic-leaning ones) from being able to cast a vote in the upcoming election. This week we saw court rulings, both good and bad, on that front in Kansas and the crucial battleground state of Ohio. We review the court decisions and their effect on the electorate, with national polling at a virtual tie and Trump leading in the Buckeye State. Then, Desi Doyen tries to cheer us up with the latest 'Green News Report'. (We wish her luck!)
