On today's 'BradCast': Author and longtime progressive talk radio host THOM HARTMANN explains his well-documented argument in the Hartmann Report newsletter that begins to build a case against former president Donald Trump for what Hartmann describes as 'negligent homicide at best, and intentional murder at worst.' Hartmann discusses the publicly documented actions taken by Team Trump that suggest the administration made the cold calculation to shift focus away from active measures to contain the virus, once studies showed that the deaths of working-age people were mostly among black and brown communities in Democratically-controlled states -- a noticeable and sudden about-face, that was then matched lockstep by rightwing media outlets like Fox 'News', the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Koch Network's Freedomworks, and other GOP front groups. While Hartmann is not a lawyer, he makes a compelling legal case for holding Team Trump accountable for negligence, and details how such a case could move forward in the U.S., as a similar legal action is underway in Brazil against President Jair Bolsonaro.
