'BradCast' 2/22/2019 (Guest: Former US House General Counsel Stanley M. Brand)

02-22-2019 (53.11 MB)

On today’s show:  The North Carolina state Board of Elections has called for a new election in the 9th Congressional House District after revelations of a GOP absentee ballot fraud scheme, yet we hear nothing but silence from the wildly hypocritical Republican "voter fraud" fraudsters who have lied for years about phony fraud as a pretext to ram through laws that suppress the Democratic-leaning vote. The NC Democratic Chairman has to explain the difference between "voter fraud" and "election fraud" to NPR (will NPR remember next time?). Speaking of GOP hypocrisy: Trump-supporting billionaire and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was cited by Florida police for soliciting prostitution, part of a sting operation uncovering a human sex trafficking ring. Trump has disingenuously used false assertions and lurid descriptions of human sex trafficking as pretext for his "National Emergency" declaration to steal money from the military to build his border wall with Mexico. Amid several media reports that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report may be coming soon, Professor STANLEY BRAND of Penn State University, an expert on independent counsel/special counsel law, explains the likely paths ahead after the Mueller report is finally delivered to Trump’s new U.S. Attorney General William Barr. Brand, former General Counsel to the U.S. House, warns the public may never see any of Mueller's "confidential" report, and the reasons why he believes Mueller is unlikely to recommend either indictment or impeachment in his report. Plus: some musical fun with Trump’s “Border Lies”...
