'BradCast' 7/18/2022: (Deadly Heat Across Globe as Manchin 'Sabotages' Dem, Biden Action on Climate Crisis)

On today's 'BradCast':  Extreme heat driven by the human-caused climate crisis continues to broil the Northern Hemisphere.  A billion people in China are suffering under record extreme heat and humidity. In Portugal and Spain, the death toll from record heat and wildfires has topped 1,000, as the heat spreads to France and the rest of Europe where Ireland and the U.K. are likely to see triple digit temperatures, and the U.K. has issued its first-ever national extreme heat advisory.  In the U.S., a persistent extreme heat wave will broil the nation for at least another week, with triple-digit temperatures from South Dakota to Dallas, straining the rickety Texas electric grid. Against the backdrop of these apocalyptic climate impacts, the US Supreme Court has curtailed EPA's authority to act on climate change. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), the corrupt, fossil fuel industry-funded coal baron, has again quashed passage of President Biden's climate/clean energy legislation, which is supported by every Congressional Democrat.  Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) excoriated Manchin for sabotaging Biden's policies as the existential climate crisis accelerates. Yet, while Manchin and Republicans undermine climate science and block climate policy, the corporate media and many on the Left continue to blame Congressional Democrats for failing to enact climate legislation.
