On today's 'BradCast': In Texas, reported results from a special election over the weekend dashed Congressional Democrats' hopes of expanding their razor-thin majority in the US House, with a popular Democratic candidate missing a run-off slot by less than half a percentage point. In Arizona, Trump supporters continue their tax-payer funded privately-run 'audit' of 2.1 million hand-marked paper ballots from the 2020 election in Maricopa County, AZ. Cyber Ninjas, the Florida tech firm running the 'audit', has no experience in elections or voting systems, were forced by a court to reveal their secretive procedures. The documents don't explain why the company is using bizarre techniques like UV lights to examine ballots, but reveal unfounded claims that 'Antifa' might violently attack the venue. Brad explains the inexperienced company's counting processes could actually allow the group to add (yes, steal) a minimum of 42,000 votes for Trump, without ever raising any alarms or red flags, in a race that was decided for Joe Biden by just over 10,000 votes. And because the company is keeping their daily counts and tally sheets secret from the public, there is no way to know at the end of the process how they derived their numbers, or prove the accuracy of their announced tally, or for the public to verify if it matches with what the paid counters actually tallied. While we support citizens' rights to examine ballots and tabulating -- even extreme partisans -- the process under way in AZ is a joke and is election audit theater.
