On today's 'BradCast': Global warming is helping to take down Donald Trump's shoddily-constructed, billion-dollar boondoggle of a border fence, and has also exposed the epic stupidity of destroying the existing levee system that had protected residents against catastrophic flooding. Because of the growing surge of unvaccinated COVID patients overwhelming hospitals, officials in Orlando, FL have asked residents to conserve water because the city's limited supply of liquid oxygen, used for purifying water, is instead being diverted to treat COVID patients. Florida children and teenagers now comprise the fastest-growing group of positive COVID cases in the state. A tiny West Texas town has shut down after an explosion in COVID cases just five days into the school year, while the rest of the vast state is completely out of nurses and beds in emergency and ICU rooms, with hundreds of critically ill patients on waiting lists for both. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi brokered a deal with 10 'moderate' Democrats to move forward with passage of the landmark $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation blueprint that would, if signed into law, expand health care, child care, access to education, take on climate change and require corporations and the rich to pay their fair share in taxes to help pay for it all.
