On today's 'BradCast': Our special coverage continues of the public hearings of the House Select Committee investigating the insurrection and Donald Trump's multi-pronged attempts to steal the 2020 Presidential election from the American people. We're joined today for insight and analysis by award-winning opinion columnist HEATHER DIGBY PARTON of Salon and Hullabaloo, and RICHARD 'RJ' ESKOW, longtime columnist and host of The Zero Hour on radio and TV. Through live witnesses, videotaped testimony, and mountains of evidence, the hearing made clear that Trump was central to the plot to stop the peaceful transfer of power at any cost, and chose to take no action to stop the deadly attack on the US Capitol, betraying his oath of office. The Committee laid out, in minute-by-minute detail, the day's events, from Trump's incitement of the mob to the crucial hours when he failed to act to protect the country, rejected pleas from advisors, friends, top staffers and aides to intervene, and instead pressured senators to help him steal the election, along with issuing inflammatory messages that his aides said were like pouring gasoline on a raging fire. The violence was the plan all along, and Trump did not want to stop it. The hearing was incredibly information-dense, and chock full of chilling, disturbing moments and new information. Also today: a jury has convicted former Trump aide Steve Bannon on two counts contempt of Congress for ignoring lawful subpoenas from the J6 Committee...
