'BradCast' 3/17/2020 (Guest: Ion Sancho, 30-year former Leon County, FL Election Supervisor)

On today's 'BradCast': Another bizarre and chaotic day in the Coronavirus Era. Florida, Illinois and Arizona all held their Democratic presidential primary elections on Tuesday despite quarantines, lockdowns, and recommendations of social distancing to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. Ohio postponed their primary election today, with the state's Governor taking extraordinary measures to do so. Maryland, Louisiana, Georgia and Kentucky are postponing their April primaries until June. Maryland, however, will still hold a special election on April 28th to fill the U.S. House seat left vacant by the late Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings, but it will now be an all Vote-by-Mail (VBM) election. All of the three states holding primaries today saw poll closures, low turnout, and shortages of poll workers, many of whom are elderly and most vulnerable to the virus. Guest ION SANCHO, the legendary former Supervisor of Elections in Leon County, FL and a champion of voting rights, offers insight, analysis, and solutions to the current primary chaos and the challenges now faced by elections officials and voters. Sancho explains the likely necessity of all states moving to VBM elections for the duration of the crisis – including the crucial November election -- and the steps that voters and officials must take to ensure such elections are secure, fair, and carried out with integrity. Also today: Wildly corrupt GOP Congressman Duncan Hunter, Jr. sentenced to 11 months in prison. Plus Desi Doyen has our latest 'Green News Report.'
