On today's 'BradCast': Special coverage of the Senate Impeachment Trial of Donald J. Trump continues as Democratic House Managers' launch their second day of opening arguments, which could well be their closing argument as well, if Senate Republicans continue to block subpoenas for documentation and witnesses withheld by the Trump White House. The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists has, for the first time, moved the infamous "Doomsday Clock" inside the two-minute mark, just 100 symbolic seconds from "midnight," thanks to growing threats of nuclear weapons and the climate crisis. Viewers of Fox "News" have not heard the evidence in Trump's Senate Impeachment Trial because the network has cut away from live coverage of the actual proceedings to lie about it during their regular programming instead. On Wednesday, lead House Manager Adam Schiff pointed out how existing documentation and eye-witness testimony is being withheld at the orders of the President. Hypocritically, Senate Republicans complained of not learning anything new from the Democrats' presentation after voting against new witnesses and documents being withheld by the White House. Schiff warned, "the truth will come out" anyway eventually, but GOP Senators have clearly calculated that, for most of them, it will be better to have damning information come out later, after they have voted to acquit. On Thursday, Democrats detailed the legal and Constitutional underpinnings of the first Article of Impeachment against Trump for Abuse of power, with House Judiciary Chair Jerrold Nadler describing allegations as "overwhelmingly supported by the evidenced amassed by the House" and "among the most serious charges ever brought against a President."
