'BradCast' 2/25/2025 (Guest: Jonathan Simon on February 28th 'Economic Blackout' protest; Bad Day for Elon Musk)

02-25-2025 (53.11 MB)

On today's 'BradCast':   The Trump/Musk DOGE Bro Coup appears to be generating rising blowback. Federal employees at the U.S. Digital Service (renamed U.S. DOGE Service) have resigned in protest, refusing to use their skills to 'compromise core government systems, jeopardize Americans' sensitive data, or dismantle critical public services.' In Europe, sales of Elon Musk's Tesla cars have crashed due to Musk's support of far-right extremist political parties. In the U.S., new surveys show consumer confidence has cratered in the wake of Trump's tariff and trade war threats. JONATHAN SIMON, of non-profit news outlet Who What Why, explains the 24-hour 'Economic Blackout' on Feb. 28 - - a day to purchase nothing as part a national grassroots protest against Donald Trump and Musk's dismantling of the federal government, by demonstrating the power of American consumers to impact the economy.
