On today's 'BradCast': Coronavirus infection rates and hospitalizations are surging across much of the country, particularly in states with Republican Governors who reopened far too early, against warnings from health experts. The virus' mortality rate is a lagging indicator that follows the increase in hospitalizations, and now death rates are beginning to spike -- as predicted -- in states like Florida, Texas, Arizona and others where Republican Governors put their perceived (and twisted) political interests ahead of the health of their actual constituents. In Florida, hospitals are running out of ICU space and test kits, yet the Republican National Committee is still planning to hold an in-person convention next month. Former Colorado SENATOR TIMOTHY WIRTH joins us to discuss his chilling op-ed detailing an all-too-plausible scenario in which Trump could lose both the popular vote and Electoral College in a rout, but still manage to remain in office. Wirth explains the step-by-step process, and how it could all be done "legally" through a suite of presidential emergency powers, with some help from the stolen U.S. Supreme Court and the shameless Republican caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives. Wirth warns now is the time to start sounding the alarm bells, and making plans for how to counter such a scheme. The scenario, as he details it, is as chilling as it sounds -- and completely imaginable under this President, who, Wirth explains, is already busily laying the ground work for such a coup.
