'BradCast' 1/11/2022 (The Death of the Cyber Ninjas; Also: Biden finally calls for filibuster reform)
01-11-2022 (53.56 MB)
On today's 'BradCast': President Biden and Vice President Harris delivered fiery remarks in Atlanta urging Senate Democrats to reform the filibuster to overcome Republican obstruction and allow passage of crucial voting rights and election security legislation that would protect Americans from voter suppression and election subversion efforts adopted by GOP-controlled states across the nation. Biden accurately noted that, until recently, Republicans supported voting rights, but not anymore, in part assisted by obstructionist Democrats Joe Manchin (WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ), who have refused to reform the filibuster for democracy legislation. Historians debunked Manchin's numerous false claims about the filibuster, noting that its current form has only been in place since 1975, and it was virulently opposed by the Constitution's framers, which is why there is no such requirement in the Constitution. In Arizona, Republicans' fight to undermine election integrity has hit several snags: a new report by the GOP-controlled Maricopa County Board of Supervisors debunks all but one claim in the infamously failed 'post-election forensic audit' in Maricopa County (Phoenix) conducted by the incompetent 'Cyber Ninjas'. And the firm now claims it has closed down after a state judge fined them $50,000 a day for refusing to turn over public documents related to their phony 'audit' -- but the judge said they will not escape accountability.
