On today's 'BradCast':  Trump crony Steve Bannon has turned himself in to federal prosecutors after the US Justice Department indicted him on two charges of criminal contempt of Congress for defying lawful subpoenas from the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 Capitol Insurrection. Other subpoena-defying Trumpers should take note.  Exhausted negotiators at the COP26 U.N. climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland reached an agreement over the weekend that, while not nearly enough to solve our climate emergency, still made unprecedented progress on a number of key issues, including calling for the 'phase down of coal' and fossil fuel subsidies for the first time ever. Former Democratic Congressman Beto O'Rourke announced he will challenge Texas' far-right incumbent Republican Governor Greg Abbott next year. Vermont's Sen. Patrick Leahy (D) announced he will not seek a ninth term. The trial of 17-year old Kyle Rittenhouse, who killed two people at a protest against police brutality, now moves to the jury after questionable rulings by the trial judge. Propagandist Alex Jones was found guilty of defamation in another case against him for falsely claiming that the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre was a 'hoax.' President Biden signed the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill that addresses decades of failure to invest in rebuilding the nation's crumbling infrastructure, which the administration vows will create millions of jobs over the next five years. While infrastructure traditionally used to be a bipartisan effort, today's rightwing Republicans have turned on the few Congressional Republicans who voted to pass the bill.
