{"id":848,"date":"2004-10-29T13:58:47","date_gmt":"2004-10-29T17:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.test.bradblog.com\/?p=848"},"modified":"2004-10-29T13:58:47","modified_gmt":"2004-10-29T17:58:47","slug":"study-over-100000-iraqis-killed-so-far","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=848","title":{"rendered":"STUDY: Over 100,000 Iraqis Killed So Far!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/Images\/IraqiWoman.jpg\" hspace=\"6\" vspace=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\">Little wonder the Pentagon refuses to report or count Iraqi casualty figures.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been reporting that 28,000 Iraqi military (many whom were conscripted out of their village at gunpoint by Saddam) were reported killed at the end of &#8220;major hostilities&#8221; by various Pentagon sources at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, the <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/archives\/00000771.htm\">best estimates<\/a> we&#8217;ve been able to round up are that over 22,000 <b>civilian<\/b> Iraqis are estimated as dead. <i>But apparently, we&#8217;ve been low-balling it!<\/i><\/p>\n<p>This just out from <a href=\"http:\/\/news.independent.co.uk\/world\/middle_east\/story.jsp?story=577151\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Independent<\/i><\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/Images\/IraqSep18c_small.jpg\" hspace=\"6\" vspace=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"left\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">The first scientific study of the human cost of the Iraq war suggests that at least 100,000 Iraqis have lost their lives since their country was invaded in March 2003.<\/p>\n<p>More than half of those who died were women and children killed in air strikes, researchers say.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>By way of comparison to the &#8220;at least 100,000 Iraqis&#8221; who&#8217;ve been killed so far &#8212; and had nothing whatsoever do with 9\/11 &#8212; the U.S. lost 2,973 on that fateful day.
