That means he would serve 10 years&#8217; probation.<\/p>\n<p>DeLay was taken into custody but he was expected to be released as soon as he posted an appeals bond.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><i><b>UPDATE:<\/b><\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2011\/01\/10\/AR2011011000557.html?hpid=topnews\"><i>WaPo<\/i> now has more<\/a>, including details on the only one to testify on behalf of DeLay at the sentencing hearing today: former Republican U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert (who has <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=6034\">his own legal issues<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wonder if the former GOP U.S. House Majoriy Leader is still smiling.
