{"id":790,"date":"2004-10-20T13:17:14","date_gmt":"2004-10-20T17:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.test.bradblog.com\/?p=790"},"modified":"2004-10-20T13:17:14","modified_gmt":"2004-10-20T17:17:14","slug":"robertson-bush-wrong-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=790","title":{"rendered":"Robertson: Bush Wrong Again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/Images\/PatRobertson.jpg\" hspace=\"6\" vspace=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\">Christian Coalition Founder, Pat Robertson on CNN&#8217;s <i>Paul Zahn Now<\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2004\/ALLPOLITICS\/10\/19\/robertson.bush.iraq\/\" target=\"_blank\">speaking about the meeting<\/a> he had with Bush prior to the War on Iraq:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">&#8220;And I warned him about this war. I had deep misgivings about this war, deep misgivings. And I was trying to say, &#8216;Mr. President, you had better prepare the American people for casualties.&#8217; &#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Robertson said the president then told him, &#8220;Oh, no, we&#8217;re not going to have any casualties.&#8221;<\/p><\/div>\n<p>For the record, so far we&#8217;ve had almost to 29,000 U.S. military <i>casualties<\/i> in Iraq. So Bush was only off by 29,000. And we&#8217;ve had 1,102 U.S. military <i>fatalities<\/i> as well. No idea which number Bush might have been referring to. Though you&#8217;d expect a &#8220;Commander-in-Chief&#8221; to know the difference. As we&#8217;ve said though, and as the above quote shows, expectations are not this Administrations forte.<\/p>\n<p>But, hey, at least Robertson gets to <i>meet<\/i> with the President about these things! That&#8217;s more than can be said for folks like Democratic Congressmen or the Black Caucus therein!<\/p>\n<p><i>George W.
