{"id":7820,"date":"2010-05-03T11:42:55","date_gmt":"2010-05-03T18:42:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bradblog.com\/?p=7820"},"modified":"2010-05-04T07:18:40","modified_gmt":"2010-05-04T14:18:40","slug":"toons-of-the-moment-palins-katrina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=7820","title":{"rendered":"Toons of the Moment: Palin&#8217;s Katrina&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/blogs\/NateBeelerToons\/Threatened-Wildlife-92603824.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/Images\/Beeler_DrillBabyDrill_Palin_043010.jpg\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cagle.com\/politicalcartoons\/pccartoons\/permalink.asp?artist=schorr&#038;date=100430\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/Images\/Schorr_SpillBabySpill_043010.jpg\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>After hearing the lazy corporate media meme over the last several days asking whether the BP oil spill catastrophe was &#8220;Obama&#8217;s Katrina,&#8221; it was nice to see the meme properly re-aligned last night on Twitter by <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/OTOOLEFAN\">@OTOOLEFAN<\/a> who <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/OTOOLEFAN\/status\/13277399464\">announced<\/a>: &#8220;This oil spill is Sarah Palin&#8217;s Katrina.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Apparently he wasn&#8217;t the first, however, to do so, as the ubiquitous <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/Shoq\/status\/13281305292\">@Shoq gave credit<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/yrustupid\/statuses\/13150430944\">@yrustupid&#8217;s first invocation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i>And with those attributions out of the way<\/i>, I&#8217;ll take the opportunity to note that after two long weeks on the road and often off the grid (when I wasn&#8217;t doing <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=7807\">Russian TV from NV<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=7816\">guest hosting for Malloy from San Fran<\/a>) for largely unrelated work, I&#8217;m finally back in the &#8216;hood today with much to get caught up on this week. Thanks for your patience during my mostly-absence over the last coupla weeks and (possibly) in the coming days as I get caught up.
