The rally took place outside a Great Miami Chamber of Commerce event where Florida Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) was speaking.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\n&#8220;I&#8217;m amazed the way this has become such a politicized issue,&#8221; [the victim, Luis] Perrero told [<a href=\"http:\/\/miamiherald.typepad.com\/nakedpolitics\/2009\/09\/healthcare-reform-advocate-punched-by-opponent-at-nelson-event.html\"><i>Miami Herald&#8217;s<\/i> Toulouse] Oloronippa<\/a>. &#8220;It shows that people who are against the public option will resort to anything, including battery on a senior citizen to prevent healthcare reform.&#8221;<\/div>\n<p>Perrero is right, and extremely lucky, that all he received was a punch in the face. As <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=7376\">we&#8217;ve noted<\/a>, on <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=7343\">several occasions<\/a>, we&#8217;ll consider it a great success if we can make it through this teabagging nightmare without <i>someone<\/i> getting killed.<\/p>\n<p>Are there <i>any<\/i> grown-up Republicans left out there? Can <i>anybody<\/i> save that party (and the country along with it) from utter ruin?<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>UPDATE 9\/3\/09:<\/strong><\/em> Another man, this one in CA, is punched in face by anti-reformer who gets his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.drumsnwhistles.com\/2009\/09\/03\/health-care-vigil-in-thousand-oaks-provocation-to-violent-response\/\">finger bitten off<\/a> in the bargain.
