{"id":7147,"date":"2009-05-14T13:15:29","date_gmt":"2009-05-14T20:15:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bradblog.com\/?p=7147"},"modified":"2009-05-15T15:22:16","modified_gmt":"2009-05-15T22:22:16","slug":"breaking-rove-to-be-questioned-by-special-prosecutor-on-us-attorney-firings-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=7147","title":{"rendered":"Breaking: Rove to be Questioned by Special Prosecutor on U.S. Attorney Firings Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2009\/05\/14\/AR2009051402816.html\">Just in from <i>Washington Post<\/i>&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">Former top White House official Karl Rove will be interviewed tomorrow as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into the firing of U.S. attorneys during the Bush administration, according to two sources familiar with the appointment.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\nHe will be questioned tomorrow by Connecticut prosecutor Nora R. Dannehy, who was named last year to examine whether any former senior Justice Department and White House officials lied or obstructed justice in connection with the dismissal of federal prosecutors in 2006.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\nThe firings were the subject of a lengthy report released last fall by the Justice Department&#8217;s inspector general and the department&#8217;s Office of Professional Responsibility.
