This was supposed to be followed by public testimony but that did not begin until 6:30 in the morning so the large list of interested public was whittled down by people leaving during the 20 hours of ‘expert’ testimony. It is telling that proponents of the bill did not call either the US Attorney or the Texas Attorney General to testify about the amount of voter fraud that would be stopped by more restrictive ID requirements. The bill was passed by one vote in the Senate. There will be one more procedural vote and the bill will then go to the House.

National: Hurdles to Voting Persisted in 2008
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/11/us/politics/11vote.html

National: 4-5 MILLION Voters Disenfranchised in 2008
http://www.opednews.com/articles/4-5-MILLION-Voters-Disenfr-by-Mark-Crispin-Mille-090311-559.html

National: Top Federal Election Reform Priorities

Top Federal Election Reform Priorities

FL: Palm Beach County – Delray election delays explained
http://weblogs.sun-sentinel.com/news/politics/palm/blog/2009/03/delray_election_delays_explain.html

MN: Coleman warns donors after purported data breach
http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/senate/41084707.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUUX

MN: Crashgate lives!
