In some cases, there are <a href=\"http:\/\/minnesota.publicradio.org\/features\/2008\/11\/19_challenged_ballots\/\">good reasons to challenge ballots<\/a> on the basis of whether the voter&#8217;s intent is clear or not.<\/p>\n<p>And then, there&#8217;s the Coleman campaign&#8217;s attempts to challenge ballots <i>simply<\/i> because the voter had voted for John McCain, and thus, as they argue, a vote for Al Franken, or for no Senate candidate at all <i>must<\/i> have been a mistake, and the ballot should be counted instead for Norm Coleman.<\/p>\n<p>No, seriously, this is what they are arguing.
