Marriage equality, under virtually any legitimate <i>conservative<\/i> reading of the U.S. and most state Constitutions, cannot be denied.<\/p>\n<p>If the segment, at right, from tonight&#8217;s <i>O&#8217;Reilly Factor<\/i> is any indication, it looks like even Bill O&#8217;Reilly is finally coming to grips with that fact, in light of the new poll showing for the first time that a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.washingtonpost.com\/the-trail\/2008\/05\/28\/poll_majority_of_californians.html\">majority of Californians are finally in favor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Neither O&#8217;Reilly, nor his guest, &#8220;family law attorney&#8221; and &#8220;gay marriage opponent&#8221; Don Schweitzer, seem to be able to come up with a single legitimate reason to oppose it.  The uncomfortable silences while they reach for something&#8230;anything&#8230;is really something to see. And if they&#8217;ve lost O&#8217;Reilly, well, the dead-enders may take a while longer to get the message, but it&#8217;s over.
